Thanks for the replys- great support.

avgeek- I would love to have you take mine for a ride to compare. I am in north Scottsdale and can meet up with you Saturday am if that works.

Tomatocity- the vibes are actually able to be felt on the knuckle guards, mirrors and the handle bar itself . The speed really doesn't matter although the faster the speed the higher the vibes seem to be. The windshield is dead perfect, the tank perfect, the instruments perfect. Its only in the above mentioned items. After riding for 20 miles or so you can certainly feel it in the hands. The bars fit my arms and the angle is perfect. I have raised the bars with a short riser thinking the riding position was to far forward. I have installed the grip puppies, no reduction to speak of. The oil level is perfect from the dealer at the 600 mile service, I synched the tb's ( had a friend do it) they were very close from the factory.

I did get a call back from the dealer today and they are going to take my bike and do a 40 mile ride or so to see whats up. That's great news as I don't think a 2 mile ride around the block is enough to get a feel for whats happening. Maybe the bike is fine and its the specific zone of harmonics that is not sitting well with me? If that's the case then at least I know its not the bike and i can try to make tweaks to it.

I appreciate the advice and input for sure. Thanks.

Update:

I had a ride scheduled with the dealer for Monday and decided to take the bike out for a ride today and see what happens with the vibes. I decided to ride the bike harder than during the first 600 miles and ran the gears good through different speeds. I originally was going to go about 30 miles as this was the point of stopping in the past. Low and behold, the vibes have dramatically decreased and I ended up riding the bike 275 miles today. I ran about 20 miles through the desert on no trails and about 50 miles on gravel roads. I have no idea why the vibes are dramatically less and the only thing I have done different is to NOT baby the rpm's. I am thinking maybe the motor was so tight it just need a good run? I rode the bike in the sport mode with Traction Control off the whole time, this bike is going to be fun for sure. I look forward to seeing if the bike smooths out more and am certainly going to do the slip on with the PCV at about 2000 miles.

Thanks for all the info guy's, great community for sure.

Jerry good to hear the viberations are less. Just remembered something else. Have you checked the fluid level of the final drive. If I remember correctly the Super Tenere is shipped needing the final drive fluid topped off by the dealership. Just a thought.

Some ideas on this topic:
1.- Harmonize your engine
2.- Place 'Dynabeads' on your front tyre after you balance it
3.- Install ROX Risers with vibration dampening

4.- Install SW Motech Non Shock Endurance handlebar ... invert your throttle controls and get rid of all the plastic inserts and don't drill your handlebar

5.- Use 'Grip Puppies' and install the throttle control so as to operate your throttle with your thumb instead of your wrist

6.- The Kaoko Cruise control installed compensates the bar end weight on your right side
7.- Not enough space left to place all the extra switches (spotlights, PCV map, ABS on/off)

8.- Plus all the other gagdets (Passport radar detector, PCV LCD, Spot, Garmin Montana 650, etc)

And prevent your 'death grip'
Cheers,
Roberto

Hey Jerry, I didn't see your post until this morning. Hope to catch up with you soon, I haven't seen any other STs on the road here in town yet.

The bars are quite comfortable and you can adjust the height of the grips and also the shock resistance with the bolts and nuts under the bar where the rubber shocks are installed ... the distance from grip to grip is the same as the standard and the sweep back is less ... hope this helps ... it comes without the bar end nut so you will have to install the other type of retentions to install your hand guards.
Cheers,
Roberto

Some farkles from Italy:

and a correction to the OEM wind deflectors so as to have access to the top bolt of the side fairings

Tomatocity- I have not checked myself however the dealer did change the fluid at the first service. I don't know if it was low or high prior to that. I will check tomorrow to see for myself. I know it still has some vibes but it is about 75 % better than it was and certainly going in the right direction. I am much more hopeful than before and maybe its a matter of breaking this bike in.

Avgeek- feel free to call if you can still ride mine. I would love your opinion for sure- 480-415-7977

I have contacted the SW motech dealer in Turkey and they told me that it may take 3-4 months to get that bar :( I have to find other avenues get this piece.

You mention that it comes without the bar end ..the original bar ends does not fit this bar? Also did you have any problems installing KAOKO? except the kaoko have all original controls do I have to make any adjustments to the endurance bar to fit the stock controls?
Thank you

Try www.off-the-road.de and speak to Thorsten ... they do not have it in stock but got it for me ... no modifications required except that to attach the hand guards you will have to use the other system with the bolt and expander ... remember that the controls have small plastic plugs that insert on drilled holes in the handlebar ... just break them and fit your controls in the position you wish and tighten them well.
Cheers,
Roberto

How do you "harmonize your engine"

See this post Airscrew Adjustment to fix off-idle stumble and Throttle Body Sync - w/ pigtails ... first in Technical Discussion ... the 'harmonize' comes from the Harmonyzer, o body synch instrument.

Roberto,

I sent them an email requesting info on this item. They did not have the item listed on their website. Thanks for the info

you mention breaking the plastic and not drilling the bar why? wouldnt that be better to drill the bar and have them snugly fit

When you have to place switches and move them around then fixing the controls limits your possibilities ... I placed the throttle controls upside down for example.

Roberto

I felt the vibrations a little more on the left side, but just tightened the brush guards and it largely went away. What's up with Japako's "fueling" solution?
