Bumping due to a few questions.

Yes, this is still active and yes, the price is still the same. See directions in the first post of this thread.

Thanks!

11 minutes on the phone with ET and I'm now covered until October 2018. Thanks BL.

In selling bikes I've owned in the past I've found you have a HUGE advantage over comparable bikes if yours has a warranty and the others don't. Even if there's just a few months left on it. I'm sure this warranty will pay for itself even if I never have to use it at the dealer.

BTW, a local dealer offered to sell me this same warranty last week "At his cost" for $550.00. Hmmmmmm......

I am confused here, you say Oct 2018. I thought it was a 4 year warranty from date of purchase of the bike new. I am doing the math and if you bought the bike in Oct of this year wouldn't it be until Oct 2017 ?

In the USA, it's 4 years tacked onto the factory 1 year.

5 years & Unlimited mileage!

An amazing offer for the folks that intend to ride the hell outta this thing.

Wow my bad, I just purchased the 4 year YES thinking it was an additional 3 after the factory warranty expired. Like you stated an amazing offer glad I got this clear. I am a member of the CRAFT club.......Can't remember a **** thing hee

Thanks a million Blood.
I've NEVER bought an EW on ANYTHING! But I will call your Uncle next week to get a 3 year on the S10 that I'll be picking up this Friday in Denver. The dealer wanted $540 for 2 years - said it was at his cost!!
I've been shopping for months for a S10 - either new or used. I've studied (for more hours than I can count) the opinions, expertise and experiences of the good folk on this forum. I've posted stupid questions and irrelevant comments and have received justifiable responses!!
The EW was DEFINITELY a big factor in the used bikes I considered.

Bloodlines got a pretty good feel on the pulse of this thread. If any things changed he'd let us know. Get the 4 additional years and ride like hell!

This is done.
My bike, purchased November 21, 2013 is under Yamaha warranty until November 20, 2018. That's 5 years, FIVE YEARS.
All of this for a mere $414.

Just click of the link: http://www.yamahaofjefferson.com/
Have your VIN number ready (just the last 6 nr are OK), and your credit card. The guy over the phone, E.T. (no kidding) will drive you through the process in a few minutes. Then you will receive a confirmation email with a certificate. The Yamaha full contract should be mailed within a few weeks.
E.T. was really great over the phone. A pleasure to deal with.
So, among the necessary improvements to your new S10:
- Reflash ECU (check)
- Extend the warranty to 5 years (check)
- Have fun every single ride (keep on checking...) ::015::

You can typically bring the warranty out to five years. So if they're adding two years of YES as part of the deal, then you should be able to add two more to it for a total of four years YES, and one year factory.

Re: Extended Warranty Group Buy/ES model...

If you have the new ES it might be prudent to have the extended warranty. As all of you know electric "stuff" is very expensive to fix when it goes "boom in the night." That is one of the selling points of a BMW..a 36 month warranty. I am sure that it will cost well over a grand to fix the electric rear shock on my ES. I will buy an extended warranty and hope that over the next five years I will never need it.
