My uncle has been a Yamaha Dealer in western NC for almost 40 years. Here's the deal:

Your bike must currently be under warranty. The YES warranty is in addition to the factory warranty. It is transferable and in my opinion, that alone makes it worth the price.

You need your SERIAL NUMBER and your CREDIT CARD in hand.

Call (336) 846-7744 and ask for "ET". Tell him you want to purchase a YES warranty for your super tenere and you heard about him on this forum.

The pricing is as follows, for super teneres AND any Yamaha machine 900cc and up:

1 year- $264.00

2 years- $324.00

3 years- $372.00

4 years- $414.00

NC residents ADD 6.75% sales tax.

Request must be made in the original purchasers name.

Yamaha Y.E.S. warranties are available for units that are out of warranty, as well. Ask for pricing.

I understand there are options on EBAY and elsewhere that may be a little cheaper. I can't speak for them. What i can say, is that when you call Yamaha of Jefferson, you will speak to the owner and you can rest assured that you are getting what you want, a Genuine Yamaha Y.E.S. warranty.

If you are in NC, ride in and see him!

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I'm generally not an extended warranty guy, but for what amounts to $100/year I might just reconsider.

Im with you Venture,

Ive only bought a few warranties in my life. One was on another Yamaha bike years ago.. I bought the 5 year plan. After 4 1/2 years it paid off big time.. Yamaha replaced a faulty part that messed up, it also caused damage to a lot of other parts.. Would have cost thousands of dollars to fix. The whole thing went really smooth and was returned better than new... Only cost me the warranty 4 years before..... On the ST I bought the + 4 year again.. :)

How long is this group buy open for?

I am normally not a extended-warranty type, but the pricing is right...

That's not a bad price, but my dealer is at $400.00 so I'll have to support him... ::025::

Japako, who is your dealer? I'm in north TX as well. Should I speak with anyone in particular?

I approached the dealer I bought my bike from yesterday during the sale and asked him if he would match this price, and he said yes. I told him about the Dealership in CO from ebay and the dealership in NC. He was more than willing to match their price, even after I had already worked a great deal on the Bike price!

This thread amazes me. I see why vendor sections of prominent websites get locked.

Around here (SC), 4 years of Y.E.S. is marked up 100% to about $800. I was just trying to help members of the forum with a better deal from my Uncle in NC.

If you have a good deal, post your own thread.

I heard today that the dealer would only quote you 500.00. I am sorry to have wasted your time. I was offered mine at that price and just thought it would be good for anyone. Guess not..

I am friends with the dealer and have bought other bikes and things from him, so they give me a pretty good price.
I'm sure you can find it even cheaper at the other places mentioned in this thread.
Cheers

I meant no offense by posting ...it is actually big thanks! Thanks to your Uncle, and others like him, for not raking folks over the coals with inflated prices on plans, etc, more folks are forced to be competitive with otherwise inflated costs.

I was simply adding on to this thread to assist in saving folks money! If my dealer, while I was already in his shop, would not have matched the price, I would have certainly called elsewhere.

I bought a warranty over the phone from him last week. Straight forward, easy to do, and he sent a warranty card verification by email within minutes.
There may be other deals out there, but this one is still one of the best!
