Got "the call" yesterday! My Raven may be here by the end of the week! If you live in Colorado, I apologize in advance for the impending blizzard(s) that will no doubt last well into late June.

I'll be in the garage making vroom-vroom noises if anyone is looking for me.... .

I've been doing that all winter. I'm hoarse, so now I have to use a DVD with motorcycle sounds. Mighty poor. R

Yeah, my bike is staying at a garage at my work site this winter. I have to wait until nobody's around to start my 'vroom, vrooming' lest someone might sneak up behind me with a syringe. ???

Mine is hopefully in route to my dealer from New Jersey warehouse. Many of the surrounding dealers have one on the floor since before Christmas . I prefer to deal with a certain dealer (Riders Edge ) . They already had this one scheduled to arrive in Feb. back in Oct. When I finally got of the fence the offered to get an early delivery date but whom ever they
deal with in New Jersey said there would de no new bikes until now So I'm in hopes these are just built and not left overs . I just now have a buyer for my FZ1 so this is all working out for the best .

I remember taking a vacation where we went through The Dalles and took a Snake River jet boat tour. Beatiful country, but the weather was HOT that time of year...you'd burn your feet on the pavement without sandals on! I also remember chipmunks running along the telephone lines outside the hotel...strange sight for me.

The Dalles is about 4 hours away from me and a bunch hotter in the summer. We are about 25 air miles from the snake river ans hells canyon. We are at 3000 feet and much cooler. There is a lot of great riding to the Snake river from where I live.

The allocation to the dealers ended two weeks ago and they told my dealer they were on their way from Japan and would be at the warehouse in Seattle in March. and then 1 or 2 weeks after that it would be in Oregon ::018::

They offered to get me one from another dealer but I would rather wait for one in the crate and assemble it myself. It pays to have a son at the shop ::008::

Cycle Trader shows 10 bikes in Ohio, though CT isn't always accurate. Doesn't seem "normal' that your dealer can't get one for you. I'm getting one that's been on the dealer's floor since October.

well that's certainly interesting since I bought mine just east of toledo. gave the deposit on Jan 26 and picked up the bike on feb 17th and it had been a week. Man you are working with the wrong dealer....although maybe you want one of the blue beasts? I said first color to come in...hoping and hoping and YES it was raven!

Well, I placed a deposit on February 2nd for a black S10.

At that time I was told "mid Feb". Then I was told "late Feb". Today I was told "maybe late March" and that the dealer's rep told him that these bikes "have been coming in slowly and in low quantities".

Mind you this is a dealer that my family has purchased MANY bikes and ATVs through. I've known the same sales manager for more than 20 years.

I honestly would cancel my order and buy another brand if the S10 wasn't so well reputed. I didn't sign up for a PDP program like many of you, I was told this is a stocked item and I didn't have a problem waiting a couple of weeks to get it. A couple of months though.... reminds me of my BMW experience.

ADVD,
I understand there is a desire to keep the local dealer happy, but if you want a bike, go get one!! There are plenty out there now. There are several still here in the Seattle area for sale on the floor. I would think your dealer would be able to get one transferred into his facility. That is common practice. So, how long do you want to wait? It isn't necessarily Yamaha's fault, but maybe the dealer. I'm just saying so you can get riding soon!! ::015::

Riceburner, Are you dealing with Honda East? There are some bikes sitting on the floor in Ohio as well, my dad was just in Hilliard dealer and there was one on the floorr. Thiels wheels (419) 294-4951 in Upper Sandusky probably has one on floor, as they have sold several there. There is a dealer just north of Findlay right off of I-75 that may have one, worth a call. Try Schiets in Fremont (419) 332-9902. It could just be a lazy sales guy waiting for a stock order too!!! If you want it, you can make it happen.
