Thanks for all the congrats everybody, great to be part of the family.
Dealer had no firm date, but called at 1 on Saturday. An hour away and I wanted it now, no time to look for a ride so I took the truck. Hopefully the only time it ever is in a truck
Besides I have a set off back roads I use around here for breaking in a new motor, about 300 miles so far and my throttle hasn't been in the same position for more than a few seconds. I have no idea how it cruises yet. The ride home from the dealer would have forced me to do the worst thing you can do to a new motor and hold steady speed.
And, it begins! Another new Super Tenere owner with a nice camera, there goes the bandwidth down another notch. LOL
Yeah
and that was my backup camera that slips in the tank bag easily. Wait till I get the good stuff out, and start riding the high country
remember when mine was a clean looking Virgin as yours looks!!!
That's why I had to take these photos quick! About an hour into my ride and the forcasted storm hit me. Small mud slides across the road and creek crossings, the motor already has it's first layer of perma- dirt (you know the stuff you scrub and scrub and never gets all the way off)
Nice, sure looking prudy, guess it will be farkle time soon huh?
I have a stack of boxes in the garage and no time to put it all on. I'll ride this sat, sun will be a garage day. My Jessies just showed up yesterday ( I oredered them not knowing when the bike was coming)
Congratulations DD; that really is a "good looking" machine no matter what freaking color it is
I thought hard about that and went back and forth a few times . The Blue is gorgeous ( and photographs easier). The black is just bad ass. Also more low key "fly under the radar" kind of like me.
Congratulations!! I hope you have many happy miles with your new bike!!
Already on it!!!!
Guess you don't need to ride mine now..... ::025::
Which dealer??
Actually I might still, I'll explain soon in another thread when I have more time to type. I need a comparison (all good)
I bought from PCP in Sacto. I wanted one from this current shipment for certain and talked to at least a dozen dealers about leaving a deposit and getting my name on one. Many wouldn't even talk money on the phone. My conversation went like this " I want one and will give you a deposit right now if you can do my price" No negotiations or arguing , and I wasn't asking for much at all. Couldn't believe some wouldn't talk and others wanted to charge OVER msrp, I said I'm getting one...I'm not desperate. PCP was the only one that didn't try to work something else, they simply ran the numbers and said o.k. (trust me, they still got their money) Pretty impressed with their dealership but have no knowledge other than this one deal.
