my local dealer on average charges 30% than the web guys, and puts another 5-8% for shipping charges, for items he should have on the shelf.
I know what you are saying but some of them don't deserve to be in business.
Last time we needed OEM stuff, 4 or 5 guys pooled in on a group buy and we split the shipping/border fees. Win win.
I imported my ST from the states, i'm picking up my fz9 on saturday from the States as well.
I tried to buy locally but I recived four different prices on the bike with wide margins from dealer to dealer, and in one instance a $400 differnce between two sales guys at the same dealer.
I called my guy in the states, he gave me a great price, and a written quote.
I go where the service is, and the good price certainly helps.
