I followed them and had the job done in well under half an hour ::008::

You have managed to disagree with me and then make the exact same point I made which is two-up the suspension really is not up to the Job, this is why for two-up use I would keep suspension as number one, but for solo use I would go for the Flash first as the stock suspension is adequate one up and the Flash would give a lot more bang for your buck.avc8130 said:Umm...I don't think I can agree with that in good conscience. With 2 people aboard the stock shock, the bike geometry is severely compromised. Getting a better spring rate and proper sag will really keep the bike handling and more poised...especially on mountain switchbacks.
I don't know why a better flowing air filter wouldn't help flow more air than a stock filter unless you open up your air box?scott123007 said:Look up ECUnleashed. Look for their dealers and find one to call and talk to. You will probably have to remove your ECU and send it to them if there is not one nearby, or take your bike to your Dealer and let them handle the removal and leg work. Figure on around $500.00 if you do it yourself ($450 plus shipping plus tax) or closer to $600 if you have your Dealer handle everything.
I would recommend the Arrow header and whatever slip-on you choose, but would do the re-flash before I spent money on the PCV and autotune. The re-flash and full exhaust gets it really close. Saves about 12lbs and adds a little oomph over stock. There is a little "surging" at very low rpm's if you're trying to hold a steady speed in a low gear (2500 rpm's in second gear for example) but other than that it's damn near perfect. I'm not even sure if the PCV and autotune can get rid of that either.
There may be differing opinions on this, and I know it was not on your list, but I would keep the OEM air filter. BMC's and K&N's are re-useable but don't filter as well, but more importantly, I don't think they pass more air than stock UNLESS you open up the air intake to your air box, so why bother.
It would surge WORSE with a K&N or BMC "IF" they flowed more air than stock. Your airbox opening is more restrictive than the available surface area of your OEM filter including the pressure drop of the element, so installing a filter with less pressure drop but not allowing it to get more air through the opening, does nothing. The fact that your bike does not surge has to do with your PCV and Autotune .Tallgears said:I don't know why a better flowing air filter wouldn't help flow more air than a stock filter unless you open up your air box?
I Have the BMCAir filter/FullArrowHeader&muffler/PCV/AT/Gen II flash combo and I do not have any surging at steady speeds in any gear.

I've experienced it on Tenere's back to back many times... I have also experienced a Tenere with supporting mods, after market filter with an air box mod, that makes even more of a difference to open up the box.. With supporting mods this bike does like the aftermarket filters... On a stock'ish bike I wouldn't probably bother.. It would be one of the last mods, not first...
I know! He's mentioned it many times...but then also mentioned in a thread I started that air box mods don't help. I wish he would level with us! We are a demanding group!fiddler said:::026::
It is discussed in great detail in many threads, hit the old search button. But you can also head to AF1 racing and type ecu unleashed in the search box, click on super Tenere and you can read what the flash does, and get a price.kchow24 said:Hi Guys,
I'm a new comer..
I have Full Arrow Exhaust system and Power Commander V with Auto Tune, with K&N filter as well.
What is this Gen 1 flash and Gen 2 flash all about, and what purpose?
I would put it like this: (and some would disagree)kchow24 said:Hi Guys,

I know you think I was just messing with you. And I admit I horse around on here a bit. But read what I said a couple of posts back. I stand by it.kchow24 said:Thanks buddy,
browsed around AF1 racing, also trying to understand the purpose of this ecu unleashed, my another question is; I already have PCV and auto tune installed, so this ecu unleash is it needed?
Mine ran around 12:1 totally stock at the top end (5k-8k) and that changed to around 12.5:1 with the Arrow Headers fitted and netted about 6BHP, I picked up about another 4-5BHP from the ECU Flash which I assume is down to improved fuelling, I suspect a can would only add another 2-3BHP so I am not too bothered as I like it being quite low on noise.Bjp69 said:It gave 7 hp extra compared to the original can but I've never heard of such a gain either. The reason could be that it was running very rich with the original can, around 11.5 - 12 and with the open can it changed to around 13. This was with a new stock airfilter. I can post the dyno results later when I get home but it will be a few weeks.
The Cats are in the header section, arrow claim 2.5BHP for a Can, and 9BHP for a system, I am about 8-9 BHP up with just Arrow Headers and Flash, but the Flash made far more difference than the headers to the feel of the bike, the headers really just open up the breathing a bit and allow for a bit more power on WOT, the Flash makes a huge difference the other 99% of the time.Zepfan said:No noticeable HP increase that I can tell.
