Yeah, you can do that too but it's much easier flipping it around
But I think you have the smaller lights in the UK that are only on the latest bikers here, so that's not such an easy option for 2012 / 13 owners. The boxes were presumably designed around the Euro spec lights, not the original North American spec. Hey V35A - thanks for the feedback! Really glad to hear the SW-MOTECH/TraX application works behind the GIVI CAM racks....one more fitment confirmed!V35A said:I just installed this toolbox on my US-spec 2014 ES and it fits fine. I mounted it as far forward as the brackets would allow, and installed the door with the lock at the bottom as suggested above. Accessing the lock and opening the door is no problem, at least on a 2014 bike.
FYI....I have the Givi Trekker Outback side case frames on my bike, and the tool box just barely fits inside the rack. I placed two large fender washers under the rear bracket to lower the rear of the toolbox slightly. This was probably not necessary, but it provided a little more clearance from the case rack.
Hi Philistine - we ship down under all the time. Are you looking for the toolbox or just the upgraded door? We just received a partial shipment from DS Bike today and have stock of the new "Gen III" toolboxes in both anodized silver and black....pictures and water resistance videos to follow shortly!Philistine said:can I find one in Australia
Hi lewisclarke - my guess is probably not. Jesse systems (like Holan) tend to fit pretty close to the bike and there's probably not going to be enough room to fit the box.lewisclarke said:Does this tool box fit with Jesse Panniers/sidecases installed?
Happy to help - hope your bike escapes from the shop soon and is ready to pound out some big miles!tomatocity said:Jason, forgot to thank you for the fast service of getting me the new door for the aluminum tool box. My Tenere is still in the shop so I have not installed it.
Hi Rockhopper - I don't have a firm ETA at this time. The TraX application requires a custom-sized box and has been pretty low volume compared to sales of the OEM box. I should have 1-2 earlier generation boxes in stock that can be upgraded to the new Gen III door, but they will be in natural aluminum. Maybe a quick shot of Plastidip might black it out and get you on the road?Rockhopper said:What's the ETA to have SW Motech Trax compatible and in black stock?
Looks like my bike is standing on its head which it actually doesn't.... ::010::Balmorerider said:Hi Jason,
I installed the Universal joint protector I ordered from you and it was super easy. Very pleased with the product. Thanks!

Gen III fixed an issue where water could leak into the toolbox. No more rusty tools with Gen III!Rockhopper said:Thanks!
What are the differences between Gen II and III?
I'm not particularly handy and don't even know what plastidip is. I'll research a bit and come back.
What's the current pricing for a Gen II looking like?
