Fitted my Akrapovic. As expected with metal to metal contact without any form of graphite seal or paste at the link to header pipe it blows gasses out this join. This is a premium exhaust and a premium price so am disappointed that a little more thought has not gone into it by the designers...

I am fitting an Akrapovic slip on this weekend but there isnt a graphite gasket included in the box and the supplied fitting instructions do not make any reference to using one. Does the slip on just slide onto the header pipe without one? Thanks

Can you guys give me an honest unbiased opinion as to whether fitting an Akrapovic exhaust will be worthwhile. The cheapest i have seen is £600 British pounds on fleabay, so my bank account would have to take a fair bashing. The you tube clips i have seen don't seem to make much difference...
