Can you guys give me an honest unbiased opinion as to whether fitting an Akrapovic exhaust will be worthwhile.
The cheapest i have seen is £600 British pounds on fleabay, so my bank account would have to take a fair bashing.
The you tube clips i have seen don't seem to make much difference between stock regards to sound and performance, apart from titanium quality of course.
Are there cheaper slipons that can be reccomended?
Any advice appreciated.

I was lucky to pick an Akrapovic two weeks ago, it had only done 300 miles and was as good as new, I paid about half RRP.

Since fitting the pipe I can honestly say that it is fantastic, it doesn't sound much louder than standard, which suits me, but it does have a much more pleasing mellow tone which I like, the bike is now noticeably smoother especially on pick up from 1500 -2000 rpm and this continues right through the range to the top end, I recon that the bike is breathing better, fuel consumption hasn't changed noticeably, and I have now covered about 700 miles with it and have no regrets what so ever.

Akrapovic are expensive however their quality is legendary ::008::

Hilltop do engine remapping not far from me.. And have a great following over on UKGSer... Had a couple of bike done by Geoff there..and I daresay he'll end up with my S10 on his dyno at some stage...that would cost about half an Akrapovic 8)

What exactly are you wanting from a new can?

You'll likely loss a few pounds and gain a few decibels, not much else......

$600.00 buys a lot of gas!

I have a carbon LeoVince on mine and it was the first thing I bought for my S10 and on line, it was half the price of an Akropovic. No noteabe performance gains, slightly smoother running and she now sounds like a well mannered 1200cc Twin, not a whispering domestic appliance. Any weight saving is negligible but I love it. ::008::
