    In Love All Over Again

Yeah, pay raise came with the promotion. I've questioned my decision to accept it a few times over the past year in the vein of, "be careful what you ask for, you just might get it" - well I got it. Even though the hours are longer, and stress is higher it's an opportunity to seriously carve...

The End of the Super Ténéré..................

Haven't been around here in a good long while - good to see some things never change. I think there have been rumors of the Tenere's demise since I got mine in '12... ::021::

    In Love All Over Again

I just fired up my Gen 1 for the first time in months, actually considered selling it about three months ago since a promotion at work has seriously limited my time for anything other than work. I just couldn't do it - I knew the desire to ride would come around again. Got it out last Monday...

XT1200Z? XTZ12EE? A concise way to refer to this model?

I just call it a Tenere, and then go though the Q&A to explain it to non-riders. I've found that, "it's a 1200cc Dual Sport" usually gives them what they're after, even if they don't understand why someone would want such a thing... If I were filling out an official form I guess I'd use the...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Yeah, I quoted the whole thing again - I don't think you can have enough pictures of this bike on the forum. :) Absolutely amazing looking Tenere, Snake - by far and away the sweetest looking one I've seen yet! Good Show to you and Jaxon for coming up with this one. Jaxon obviously does...

Thinking of hanging up the helmet

Thank you, sir. And I did! Sunny and 75 degrees, no traffic, just a peaceful hundred miles and it felt awesome!

    why such bad reviews

My comments will simply mirror a lot of what others have said. The ECU reflash transformed the bike, but I understand why they did it - leaned out for emissions compliance. The fueling was pretty bad, especially the limitations in the first three gears, but it's an easy fix. The other reason...

Thinking of hanging up the helmet

The lack of desire to ride happens (to me anyway) and it's not something I push. I know the desire will come back around, so I keep the bike ready for that time. Funny you mention this as I've been going through it for the past six months or so. Just haven't been feeling it... I'm typing this...

    Tenere Riddle for fun

I'll try a and be a bit more active - work is crazy and it seems as if I barely have time to scan through a few threads every now-and-again just to keep up with the goings-on around here. If your travels bring you through the Jacksonville area you've got steak on the grill, drink in the glass...

    Tenere Riddle for fun

    Avocations other than the motorcycle

That's awesome! Never too late to indulge a passion. One of the things about the guitar (and motorcycle) for me is that an aspect of it brings me back to my youth. I love loading up a backing track of Van Halen's Panama (which I will proudly say I can play - solo and all) and fire away at it...

    Avocations other than the motorcycle

I've got two Mexican Fender-built guitars. The "bumblebee" EVH and the EVH Wolfgang Special also in the pic. The bumblebee was a fanboy buy, and it's great for what it was meant for - straight-on Rock. The Wolfgang was a thoroughly researched buy. That guitar can do anything from pristine...

    Avocations other than the motorcycle

Very nice, Dirt_Dad! What is the dark colored electric on the far left of your couch pic? My problem with buying guitars is that I can't seem to let them go once I have them. The white Peavey on the far right in my pic I've had for 28 years - bought it when I was 15 - my first "real" guitar...

    Avocations other than the motorcycle

There is a company that gets celebrities to sign memorabilia (and certifies the signatures authentic) for charity auctions. Certainly nothing special about the Squire, but the EVH autograph is pretty cool.
