Jaxon did some amazing things. Pictures really don't do his work justice.

But having said that, I'm MUCH happier with how it looks now. 8)

Jaxon is an artist! And I want to know more about that custom skid plate Snake!
Here's the scoop..........

Hey Jaxon, I love my Rumbux. But, because of mass production and cost control, the frame isn't and can't be kept tight and close to the engine. Thus the bad rap for clearance issues and such. So can you pull mine off and stare at it and see if you can keep its EXCELLENT mounting points, and superb serviceability, but increase coverage and ground clearances?

You're looking at it! Dude is crazy. That's stainless and incredibly tight. Far more than you can see. And it is outrageously strong.
The cuts and welds and bends are just amazing. RTW stuff, I assure you.

The uppers are another story. Let's just say I asked for the minimum coverage to avoid big hoops. Sort of wanted it based on the OEM engine guards, but not plastic, of course. I love what he thought up. Hard to believe he ordered a set of Altriders and took them out of the box and proceeded to cut them into pieces. :)

You may want to paint it "pink and purple and sparkly silver", as that's the colour chosen by my 3 and 6 year old daughters when asked the same question as they don't like the black, "it's a boy colour"! ........apparently. ::008::

Yeah, I quoted the whole thing again - I don't think you can have enough pictures of this bike on the forum. :)

Absolutely amazing looking Tenere, Snake - by far and away the sweetest looking one I've seen yet!

Good Show to you and Jaxon for coming up with this one. Jaxon obviously does fine work. Heck, I was impressed with the cool mirror-mounted light switch I got from him (built like a brick $hithouse, and I see you have one as well) has performed flawlessly. Some might say it's over-engineered for a light switch, but I figured if the bike ever got totaled that light switch would survive for the next Tenere.

I can't imagine how robust that custom skid plate actually is....

Impressive!

Looks Great SB. ::008::

Not everyone knows that Jaxon's other business is a full on custom bike building shop. Not limited to HD, not by a long shot. It's no surprise to me to see a creation like this come from him. If you have the coin and an idea of what direction you want to go, turn him loose and you will not be disappointed.

Finally finished accessorizing the replacement Tenere and installed Tech Spec tank pads and did the 600 mile service. I have been riding the XR640L a lot trying to get more dirt experience to give me more confidence off road with the Tenere.

Those look nice. I've been wanting some but am afraid they would damage my guard if the bike was dropped. I've gently laid mine down three times.

Do these pegs actually do something? I've never had a set of these, but I keep thinking that the location for them on the bars would actually be less length than to the current pegs.

Removed the reflector above the tag, installed this nice little LED from Flying J truckstop. Almost a perfect fit.
What a pain in the butt to remove taillight section though. No connections in tail light harness. I think the next thing is going to be some Eastern Beaver Yamaha 3 and 4 pin plugs in that harness.

Re: $23 Highway Pegs

I don't know why you would think that. They are way forward of the rider pegs. My knees are not bent at all when my feet are on the highway pegs. I had a similar setup on my Vstrom and it was very useful during long days in the saddle.

Interesting. I've been looking into this for a while. It just seems like my legs are too long.

He's just not getting the imagery is all. Not coming from cruisers I'd bet. ::001::
