    average age bying the ST

Hey guys, here is a previous iteration of this question with a poll: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=1445.0 The age is definitely skewed towards the "experienced age range" but it's a little unfair to suggest that those of us in the bottom tiers lack the taste of older riders...

    Hot weather gear

This should help: http://www.bikeairusa.com/home.html Could be yours for as little as $1500... Sounds like a lot to me, but if I was living in a hotter area of the country I might be more tempted.

4492 Miles. There and Back Again.

I was hoping you would come back to this, i'm still waiting to hear about the infamous water crossing. If bring your bike down sometime we can get it straightened back out, and then go out for a "TEST" ride to see how it holds up. -Ryan

On the fly switch for traction control???

I agree this mod would be really cool, maybe even genuinely helpful. Most of the time I leave the bike in TCS1 and T and find that I am a relaxed and happy commuter, but at times such as when I see the perfect frost heave or raised railroad crossing coming up that my subconscious takes over. I...

    COOL !

I think I have ridden that section of road as part of the UTBDR but I did not know it had its own name so thanks for the links. It is definitely a must see area! My photo is from a bit north of there a bit off of the lock Hart Basin Rd. 95 degrees and sand sure make for a tiring day.

    New ADV rider training day

That looks like a really fun road/riding area. The S10 is a beast in that scenario. I find that sand really brings to light the distribution of weight on the front tire, and is especially noticeable when dropping down into a wash with unconsolidated sand. I have dropped mine a few times just...

    New Tenere Owner and Fabricator

Looking Good, and impressive symmetry for hand bending! I have been thinking about a very similar design for a frame/skid plate combo that would complement my Altrider bars after putting a hole through my touratech skid plate, but thinking is about as far as I have gotten. This is good...

The BIG COLORADO 2013 summer gathering !

Re: The BIG COLORADO 2013 summer gathering ! I looks like you guys are going to have to party without me in CO. I was riding in the mountains south west of Provo UT and tipped my bike over. It landed on my leg and I ended up with a broken ankle. Now I am working on a way to get my self and...

Yamaha (Warn) Winch- short video and photos

Hey guys, I put together a recovery kit like the one sold by best rest a couple of years ago. It is based on a Z-drag used in white water raft recovery. I have not had to use it yet but it is nice knowing I have it and can come in handy just having some length of static line. Here is the...

The BIG COLORADO 2013 summer gathering !

Hey guys! After reviewing the map I see a distinct lack of people from the pacific northwest. So in the interest of diversity, (well as diverse as a bunch of people can be that all ride the exact same motorcycle), emgee and I have stepped up to the plate and made reservations at the KOA. I...

    January on the Oregon Coast

Wow, that looks great. Here in the valley I have not been able to ride for the last week due to freezing fog, yesterday the temperature did not get above freezing all day. I guess I should have come over to the coast. Sounds like Oregon is treating you well. -Ryan

    Holan's pannier ?

I say go for it! I have looked at a lot of different set ups and I still believe that the Holan's are the best value by far. I have been nothing but pleased with my set. They are completely waterproof, and have stood up to some pretty good get offs. The way the top of the boxes are constructed...
