    HARD START

Re: Very hard starting today Yes MarkJenn original battery. I wondered about that but it seems to charge OK within limits and holds the charge but I haven't gone further and tested under load. It's on the list. :)

Hard start fix coming from Yamaha

Darn, just posted my hard start issue in another thread. In the midst of trying to get mine started. I love the bike with the ECU flash. Not going to spend the money to do it again. I'll get my fix from Yamaha and sell it.

    HARD START

Re: Very hard starting today Having same problem for first time. 2012 with 40000km. Has run like a top until I arrived home from a weekend ride two weeks ago. Parked it and then a week later it wouldn't start. I didn't do any of the previous mentioned procedures like turning it on and shutting...

My 2014 is pissing me off.

I now have 20,000 km on my 12 and about 1000 with the new ECU reflash. I cannot say enough about getting that done. The bike would stall if I didn't give it lots of throttle off the lights so I had no confidence at being able to pull out quickly in heavy traffic. I also could not feel a whole...

    After market exhaust

I have the Yoshimura RS4 and it sounds great. Not too loud when just cruising, but satisfying when you open it up. BUT I recommend getting the ECU reflashed also. Transforms the bike. I hate to waste money, so I am not being frivolous here.

    From Ontario Canada!

Welcome Good choice of rides. Consider the ECU flash upgrade. I did it this winter and it was worth every penny. I added a Yoshimura pipe also. No more off idle stumble and fast. There seems to be an ever increasing number of Ontario riders. May be time for a meet and greet. Ideas?

    AFTER MARKET WINDSHEILD

I put on a Cal Sci windscreen for a summer and found it - just OK. In a wind it acted like a barrier and the front end felt like it was being pushed around a lot. Helmet buffeting and corresponding noise was not pleasant either . I was always comparing it to my old Concours which had nice...

    Calling all talented Tenere Riders.....?

I would like to order also. How?

    Instantly 15 more free HP

After much deliberation and worry that I would be the one to try it and "poof" some circuit board would melt, I did it anyway. I had gotten used to giving the throttle a priming blip or two on take off and even riding the clutch when under a two up load so as not to stall. Never felt comfortable...

    Tenere Owner Age - Poll

Re: Tenere Owner Age - Lets see the stats!!! "56 on August 29th. Doesn't look to be a bike that appeals to 19 year olds, does it? Not flashy enough, and wrong image. " My 19 year old son is rethinking his choice of steed (Kawasaki Z1000) cause he can't go where I go. Well he probably could...

Light Duty Skid Plate - Trans Labrador

Hey thanks for the links. I am familiar with both of them but since I have lived and rode in my area for 40 years I have an established relationship with a local shop and neither Avicious or Dual Sport can match the prices. I've tried ::008::

Light Duty Skid Plate - Trans Labrador

Well until I saw the article in the link below I had not considered the skid plate as needed in a fall, just rock bashing, which is not too bright of me since it is called a "skid" plate. ::010:: My mind is made up. Heavy duty plate it is. Now which one - hmmm...

Light Duty Skid Plate - Trans Labrador

Thanks for the input people. I guess for the $100 difference in price I should just get a decent skid plate. Its just after spending so much on the bike and all the accessories It gets to be a bit hard to get it past the SO that I need to buy more. :) Limey - Lets just say I am near Guelph...

Light Duty Skid Plate - Trans Labrador

My use of the S-10 will be mostly dirt roads with the occasional double track with muddy sections. I am going to ride the Trans Labrador route this summer and in anticipation of loose gravel/stone and trucks I have put my money into a headlight guard (Yamaha), crash bars (Givi) and tires...

Anyone Have the California Scientific Windshield?

I have the cal sci windshield. Put about 500 km on it this week so far, as were having a heat wave, in Ontario. I noticed right away that I was not getting the same blast of air on my head and shoulder area as with the stock setup. I can cruise at much higher speeds now and not give it a second...

    Super interested in Super Tenere

I just did that. Sold my concours and klr 650 for an ST. Drove "fast" up to some hilly areas on major highways (something my klr did not do very well) and then poked and climbed around some non-serviceable roads (something that my concourse would never do) and it was awesome. Best of both...
