It actually boosts power/response everywhere. Rode my Gen I back to back with a 14 ES and it felt very soft in comparison.

Several weeks after that I added a PCV and Arrow headers and ended up with these gains. Even more fun to ride now....

Twin, which reflash did you go with?

I love the gen II ECU flash. Makes S & T significantly different on my '12.

Throttle IS very sensitive, esp. in S.

I find that using a throttle rocker makes it way easier to modulate control on the throttle.

I made a video to try out my new GoPro that (I think )demonstrates the 2 modes. S-street. T-trail.

I now have 20,000 km on my 12 and about 1000 with the new ECU reflash. I cannot say enough about getting that done. The bike would stall if I didn't give it lots of throttle off the lights so I had no confidence at being able to pull out quickly in heavy traffic. I also could not feel a whole lot of difference between S and T modes. Certainly not enough to justify having both. The clutch bypass made some difference but every once in a while I would stall it again. Considered selling the bike.
I took a chance and got the ECU Unleashed Gen II flash and while I was at it put on the Yoshimura RS4 and it is literally awesome now. Huge difference between S and T modes. Now I can actually see a need for both. S mode is twitchy to start but you get used to it. It accelerates hard now and no stalling.
This is now the bike I was after. Cross country tourer and decent enough for fire road/singletrack (not too extreme).
Just do it!
