Several owners here that have the CalSci screen and most reports have been positive. You might try a search too, although I'm sure some will post up their comments here.

I have the cal sci windshield. Put about 500 km on it this week so far, as were having a heat wave, in Ontario. I noticed right away that I was not getting the same blast of air on my head and shoulder area as with the stock setup. I can cruise at much higher speeds now and not give it a second thought. It was very windy the other day and I did experience some buffeting from the side but overall I am pleased with it. The order process was easy and it came from California to Canada in about 4 days which was quite quick. I have waited longer for items ordered in the same province.
I did do some light muddy trail with it on and did not find the extra height an issue. Just stood up a lot.
A nice added touch was they included a cleaning cloth and a small travel spray bottle. Cant think of anything else to tell you.
Questions? Post em up and I will reply.

I have the med and the only problem I have is I should have got the large, I am 6 ft tall. I just need 2 inches more height and I think it would be perfect.

I have the XL Cal-Si and like it a lot. I'm 6'6" and wish it was a little taller when I sit straight up. If you are any shorter than I am it would be a great setup if you wanted very little or no direct air hitting you. I'm going to order an aftermarket mounting bracket to raise it up and change the angle a little and I think it will be perfect. I really think the design of the shield makes the air behind the shield very calm just like they claim. I guess the small hole cut into the base really relieves the back pressure like they claim it does.

I had one and didn't care for it. Got the varo lip thing and decided to put that on the oem screen AFTER I put that on the cal sci screen... like it better on the oem.

I have one in the garage w/holes in it from the varo lip so if you're interested.

Thanks for your views on this guys... helps a lot. I am 6' even and was wondering between the med and large. Looks like from your comments the large is definitely the way to go.

This is better than Christmas... putting my wish list together for my Super 10 delivery! ::26::

Can those who have experienced the Cal-Sci comment on the optics. I am very happy with the set up I have but the optics of he OEM touring screen are horrible.

Thanks in advance.

I think the optics are very good. The screen has only one bend or curve to it which I would say makes a big difference. I really like mine.

I have the xl screen, I'm 6ft6, found it really improves airflow to help with high speed cruising, I still look over it rather than through it, but optics seem pretty good to me when I have got tucked in behind it.

I think the Optics are perfect. Best optics is a shield you can't tell you're looking through, which is how my CalSi is.

I have yet to purchase an aftermarket windshield though I live close enough to CalSci to be there in 10 minutes. CalSci is a family business and I like that. A 14/15 year old might have made and shipped your windshield. I went there with a couple YST riders. One already had one and the other bought one. Another rider stopped by to have his windshield straightened. Calsci reheated it and made it correct. One of the other riders realized his was not straight and CalSci corrected his. CalSci wanted to install a windshield on my bike and was thinking a Med would fit. I am 6" with a 32" inseam. I turned down his offer because of two things. 1. The port (hole) in the windshield to reduce the pressure on the back side of the windshield. It also allows water to pass through while riding in the rain. I am not a rain rider but I don't decide when it rains. 2. Does not have a lip at the top of the windshield. Just a preference of mine. IMO the lip allows a shorter windshield and adds strength. I like that the majority of the riders are happy with the CalSci windshield. Good people.
I was considering two other windshields though one was eliminated today with a report the windshield could not be installed in the lower position. If I can get a reply from the other company I might buy their windshield and maybe wings and maybe the headlight protector. My other consideration is the MadStad or the likes.

I have installed a large one (if i remember correctly). The guy told me to throw away my WASP adjustable bracket and just go with his screen. I kept the bracket, and cut 4 inches off of the top of the shield. I then drilled two holes higher to lower the screen so there wouldn't be a gap down in front above the headlight. I still see over the screen, but it could be a bit shorter, not much. I am 6'2" and don't mind it.

Using the Cal-Sci large. Love it. Also ordered a smalll dark tint for summer in the delta. Also have the Yami wind guards. Makes a nice combination.

I have the large cal Sci and it is a huge difference from the stock, I bought from another forum member who himself said it was fine but liked to try others. The optical clarity is not distorted/very clear. it isnt like in a wind pocket or something, there is some wind noise but not the nasty buffeting. I am 6'1" and have it set in the low position. Like it in both positions. Add the side deflectors and I would bet that things would be better yet. :)
