You want 'cruise control' for $20?

I was using a bike in the US with 1" bars so that's what I bought out there and brought back with me. With the little rubber band thingy fitted that comes with the Go Cruise onto Oxford aftermarket heated grips, mine seems to work ok. I'm fitting Grip Puppies this week (when they arrive) so I'll...

1" is the one I have. Works fine

You want 'cruise control' for $20?

Ok, ok so it's not really cruise control but it's as good a way of relieving hand cramp as you'll get for $20-or-so, IMO I have just returned from a 2 week riding holiday in the US and borrowed a bike from a friend. He has one of these fitted to his bike and I got one the second week for the...

    Touratech seat

Hiya I'm still considering one of these if my gel pads don't get comfy. From what I can see, all you have to do is use the original rubber bungs off the original seat base. Either that or buy new bungs from Yamaha. .

    My new seats

Sorry for the delayed reply chaps, I've been busy Custom Seats in Coventry http://www.motorbike-seats.co.uk/ A father and son set-up. Really nice blokes. I called them up for prices and they go through it over the phone and give a price there and then. Return shipping was £15 but...

    My new seats

Hiya I wasn't too happy with the comfort of the standard seat so I started looking round for a replacement. I fancy the Touratech seats but at almost £800 for the two, I wanted to explore other options first. I found a company not too far away that use 'Gelastic' pads. They can simply remove the...

Quick Release Stainless Steel Headlight Guard

That's right. BTW, the headlight cowl is held in place by the bolts which fit into threaded inserts inside rubber grommets which expand and hold everything in place. Push the bolt in too hard and the rubber grommet can pop out. You then have to take the cowl off completely, get a torch then...

Quick Release Stainless Steel Headlight Guard

I just stumbled across this thread. I installed one a couple of days ago. Touratech include all the fittings if (like mine) there isn't one on there to start with or you can use Yamaha studs. Mine took just short of a month to arrive! Touratech in the UK were out of stock and waited for a...

Thanks for that link Boris. Very useful. I note "France Motorcycles helmets must have retro reflective material fitted" Re high viz jackets, I'm looking out for one of these in my size ::025:: .

    Newbie with HIDs fitted

I meant to post this a week or so ago. I've only had the bike a couple of weeks but I notice my ST already has HIDs fitted by the previous owner. I know what these are but I have no experience of having them fitted to any previous cars or bikes. What is their reliability like? I'll be travelling...

Hi - newbie from England here **picture added**

Thanks for that info. I'll have a look. It's more a case that I find the seat too firm. I get monkey butt after about 50 miles About 10 years ago I had a custom seat made by 'Outback' in Pershore, Worcs for a cruiser (Triumph Bonneville America) I had. That seat was as comfy as a comfy thing. 2"...

Well I'm still the new guy :D Obviously I've been adding a couple of goodies to the bike. More to come too. Givi Trekker Outback panniers should be here Tuesday (22nd April). I changed the screen. Noticeably less wind noise now. That seat has GOT to go!! Only managed a quick ride today. 120...

Hi - newbie from England here **picture added**

Re: Hi - newbie from England here * picture added* Well, I collected the bike this afternoon. Time was against me today so only I managed to get just under 100 miles on it. Loving it so far. I'm just looking at getting some luggage fitted. Givi Trekkers are looking favourite so far Here's a pic ...
