Hiya
I wasn't too happy with the comfort of the standard seat so I started looking round for a replacement.
I fancy the Touratech seats but at almost £800 for the two, I wanted to explore other options first.
I found a company not too far away that use 'Gelastic' pads. They can simply remove the existing cover, cut the gel pads into the existing material and put the standard cover back on. Same day turnaround.
They also offer a service where they slightly re-shape the seats, insert the pads and get them re-covered (choice of two finishes - I preferred this basket weave pattern). Same week turnaround.
For just £255 the pair (!) I thought they have to be worth a punt.
I'm extremely happy with the quality of the work though the first ride out, it didn't feel any different to me
I can't recall if gel seats need 'breaking in'. The one I had on my Triumph Rocket 3 was comfy after a while so I'm hoping it's the same with these.
Anyway, attached are a few pics ...
