$1400.00 cad for 4 yrs extended here.
I thought the same thing and tried with my local dealer. They were not budging from the MSRP price of $690. I gave them a chance at least. I think others have said they have had luck with their local dealer matching the D&H price though.Eville Rich said:For what it's worth, I was able to get a good deal on a 4 year YES from my local Yammie dealer. I just went to them, told them what I wanted, but started the conversation with me taking the position that I'm doing them the favor. The abbreviated script:
Me: "I'm looking to get a 4 year YES. I've seen good deals from Ebay and other dealers, but would prefer to give you my business."
Them: "What kind of prices were you seeing"
Me: "South of $400"
Them: "OK, here's the price we pay to Yamaha. How does $395 sound?"
Me: "Done."
Long story short: It never hurts to ask.

Same with my dealer. They told me they had a heck of a deal at $800 for the Yes. I told them ain't going to happen. Showed them the web site with the under $400 price and said I could buy it with them, or here if you are within $10 or so. Salesman came back, done deal.Eville Rich said:For what it's worth, I was able to get a good deal on a 4 year YES from my local Yammie dealer. Well, in Denmark we have to have it serviced by the dealer, every year or 10000 KM. And that is at least $300 ......a yearstevent said:I got the 4 year Y.E.S. on my leftover 2016. Normally I don't but I got bit pretty hard on my Ford Fusion on an issue that their extended warranty would have covered so I guess it's just insurance. As long as it's a factory warranty and not some aftermarket thing I'm OK with paying the extra bucks for it. I paid more than $400 bucks for it though so that stinks.. ::005::
You could also call Romney Cycles in WV. Tell them Bob from the Camp-n-Ride sent you.alaskabound said:I just received my YES acceptance certificate, they are asking $733.82 for 4 years. Does anyone know if D and H is still offering it for $389.00? I would like to ask my dealer for their price but they weren't happy to learn I had purchased my bike in Delaware for $1700.00 cheaper than they wanted. I still may ask them but just curious if anyone has purchased YES recently for less.
Thanks for the help,
Scott
Call D&H and give them your vin number and they will give you all the facts.raynchk said:I bought a used 2016 with 2400 miles from an inmate on the ADVrider forum in December of 2017. He told me the factory warranty is good until Sept. of 2018, although he didn't give me any warranty paperwork. I've not been near a Yamaha dealer to change the original ownership of the bike. I'd like to get a YES warranty if the price is right, but from what I've seen here it has to be done within the 1st year of original warranty. Guess I'll need to give Yamaha a call, but haven't found the number yet.
I am sure EU law means service and repair does not have to be done by a dealer as long as the garage is registered and uses approved parts, warranty is ok if you have proof.Nikolajsen said:Well, in Denmark we have to have it serviced by the dealer, every year or 10000 KM. I'll give them a call. I got Yamaha on the phone today and was told I've got until 9/29/18 remaining on warranty. I'll call D&H tomorrow and see what they say. I'm quite aways away from a Yamaha dealer to do the inspection for warranty transfer. I also saw in the YES warranty on Ebay (previous post on page 1 of this thread) it wasn't good for Florida.OldRider said:Call D&H and give them your vin number and they will give you all the facts.
