Eric I suggest you call D&H and talk to Renee or Gerald. They might be able to discount, just not online. Their regular YES discount is only done by snail mail.
quick follow up. They do in fact discount over the phone and by snail mail. Good price too.

And a big thank you to koinz for verifying that info. I called and spoke with Renaa and she told me what to do and verified the price as posted here. I mailed off a check yesterday.

Re: YES Renewal/Extension

Eric
Thank you for this thread and thanks to all for the info added to it.
I too have a 2012 with a YES that will expire in August so I will most likely purchase the additional two years.
During my four year warranty I had the following done.
Fork seals
Rear final drive seal
And next week a new cam chain is going in so it has probably paid for itself .
This forum like the FJR forum is a real money saver !

@Silverbullet - What Koinz said, $349 for two years. Check only via snail mail.

@Scoop - Doing what the forum does best, share info. Glad it was helpful.

Are there any mileage restrictions that would negate the deal?

The terms and restrictions are identical to the original YES plan. Nothing changes, you're just extended it an additional 1 or 2 years. In my case, going from 4 years to 6. Unlimited mileage. Wear items are not covered.

I contacted the dealer from which I purchased my original YES warranty and he stated I was not eligible for another YES plan as I already had one.
Guess I'll wait to see if Yamaha Corp. sends me an offer to extend.

Contact one of the other dealers that offer less amount and ask them if you qualify for another extended warranty.

Re: YES Renewal/Extension

@EricV,
Do you (or anyone) know if this is available in general? I also bought the 4 yr YES and mine expires in July. I have not received anything from Yamaha. I'll give my dealer a call, they're pretty good, but the one report says nothing came available via the VIN.

One of the dealers I contacted ran my VIN and could find nothing, despite me having the letter from Yamaha. However, running the PID number on the letter with the web site Yamaha listed did show the availability of the extension, (but not the VIN there either). I would guess that everyone with a YES will get one of these at some point close to the end of the contract. I sure wasn't singled out for low warranty usage, that's for sure! I've had several thousand dollars of YES love.

The extended YES renewal should be available 90 days before the old one runs out, so I'm told....and should be renewed before it expires. I haven't sent my check in yet to d&h, but Renaa did verify mine over the phone. I have until August, but will most likely send it in June or early July.

Re: YES Renewal/Extension

Interesting....just got off the phone with mama-yama and was told no way, no how, can't do an extension.

As I mentioned earlier, I contacted the dealer who sold me my original 48 month YES and was told the same thing.

So.... I contacted D&H Cycles and they said no problem, send us your info and a check for $349 for a 2 year extension and we'll take care of you.

Thanks, D&H

+1 on D&H. Great people to do business with, helpful and best price by far. Contacted my local dealers and they were as high as the quote from Mama Yama herself. Called D&H and got the $349 for the SAME thing. I strongly suspect my next bike will be coming from D&H just based on the service I got on the phone!!!

They are way nicer in person than on the phone. A real mom & pop operation.

Re: YES Renewal/Extension

If all bike shops were as nice as these people the world would be a "much" better place. You cannot beat the price for the Yamaha extended warranty from these people. All you need is one electrical part to "wet the bed" and you will get your investment back.

Re: Took the plunge on a YES warranty

They wanted to charge me 995 for the yes plan when I got mine. Glad I've seen this, will get it before my 1 year is up. Makes me a bit nervous getting it online over eBay, any risk of the warranty not being legit or a dealer not accepting it?
