They wanted to charge me 995 for the yes plan when I got mine. Glad I've seen this, will get it before my 1 year is up. Makes me a bit nervous getting it online over eBay, any risk of the warranty not being legit or a dealer not accepting it?

Why would you go to ebay?? Go to D&H, a legit dealer and nice folks. The prices I see on ebay are higher than D&H anyway.

D&H quoted me $389 for original 4 year YES. Great price. My local dealer got really close to that so I kept my money local. If they would have been higher, I would have went with D&H for sure.

Bought mine yesterday from my dealer. I asked if he would match D&H price and he did. Just had to pay tax. Great local dealer. ::003::

Is YES good on US registered bikes while in Canada?

Thanks.

It's a Yamaha USA product and Yamaha Canada is a separate company. If you can get it back to the US from Canada you'll be fine, but it's not valid in Canada.

My dealer was supposed to send me information about the extended warranty before it expires. They didn't, and I was thinking I bought the bike in sept so I could wait til after vacation .
I plugged my vin into the D&H site and it said nothing available. Am I screwed because my 1 year warranty expired 2 days ago?

Maybe. Call D&H and talk to them over the phone. They can give you much more info and better customer service that way.

How long does it take to transfer a YES warranty? I went to the dealer to transfer it and haven't received any news. it's been over a month now.

I've never had to transfer one, but I would be checking up on that. I would have expected Yamaha to send you a letter by now.

It takes awhile. I did one two years ago and it was months before I got anything in the mail. I just transfered a YES last week and got a signed receipt from the finance manager and I'm sure get something in the mail in a month or two.

I transferred mine from the previous owner. Just keep the receipt and maintenance records.

D&H CYCLES told me Yamaha has 60 days to transfer/update YES contracts, after that you need to contact any dealer. I say "any" dealer because any of them can run your vin number and tell you everything about your bike.

I bought a used 2013 with 800 miles on it in June of 2015. The original buyer had purchased 4 years of YES coverage. He traded the bike in because his wife could not climb on the back. Anyhow, the dealer printed out a some new warranty papers with my name on when I picked up the bike.

I bought 4 additional years of the YES warranty with my bike....so I have 5yrs of warranty. Probably overkill, but I got a good price on it and couldn't resist. I have also never spent his much $ on a bike or had electronics of this nature on a bike. I have never had fuel injection before this even...

Piiece of mind is worth a lot to me sometimes.

I am new here, 2015 ES. I see D&H as a YES provider. Can someone point me to a good priced warranty dealer? Thanks
