Just added up my total miles for this year. I'm over 40,500.
Last year was just over 39,000 so not bad.
That is on my 6 bikes with odometers, I actually have 7 bikes with odometers but I'm not counting the LT2 that I just putt around the yard with. I would also have a lot of miles on dirt bikes this year.
So before the riding year ends, Get out and ride! I'm heading out right now, 22*F.

I don't have time to ride those kinds of miles but I sure would like to. I am still riding though! It was 26 when I left the house this morning.

My goal for the year was 1000/mo. Currently just under 13,000 mi. My highest year. Most of that is local day riding. The Black Hills rally helped. Those of you with "understanding" spouses have a significant advantage!

Moved to a new house this year. Devastating to mileage accumulation. Probably only rode 10k ish miles. The bulk of that came from seeing everyone in SD this summer.

Rode 8362 miles on the S10 this year. Mostly all local except a trip to South Dakota. Work threw a big wrench in my riding plans.
You retired guys…. And now retired guys with heated gear.
Work, work, work... Last year it was getting thrown off a horse and requiring surgery...

I do have to admit, the riding you do is quality stuff!

I am at 33,200 miles for this year and haven’t ridden less than 20,000 a year since retiring in 2005. I usually ride 22-25,000 a year but had some big trips this year. I am always juggling tire changes on the three bikes owned.

Heated gear is my friend as it was 28 degrees today when I left for our weekly motorcycle lunch Tuesday.

Work (again) took a toll on mileage this year. Managed ~12,000 miles on both bikes. One long-ish 5300 mile trip on FJR plus a few long weekends, and a bunch of long weekends on the Tenere. Burned up a set of tires on the FJR...not that THAT is hard to do! Next year Tenere gets primary duty with a big loop to Canada and AK!

Where you live and your riding style preference obviously makes a significant difference in the mileage that you accumulate along with the time you devote to it. If I lived in a mountain environment I'd put on less mileage in a given amount of time. Where I live, spaces are wide open, and I seldom go out for less than a 250 mile day ride; sometimes quite a bit more. I love riding in the mountains, and spend my riding trips there, but the Rockies are at least 7 hours from my house. But I also love the plains and forests near home, and enjoy seeing lots of scenery in a day. I don't think it's the mileage that you do that is most important, but rather the enjoyment that you receive from our great sport of motorcycling.

Agree. One of the significant advantages of the S-10 is the ability to easily crunch some miles to get to the good stuff and back. Some of my best riding spots are a couple hours from where I live. Still possible doing day rides.

10,000 on the Tenere this year and 19,500 on the Goldwing, hoping to get another 500 miles yet this year.
Since retirement my yearly miles have been down quite a bit.
myself and a few friends are hoping to make the trip to the ADV bike rally at Sturgis SD this year.
