Man, I SUCK!!! ::010:: ::010:: ::010:: ::010:: ::010::
No, I haven't forgotten. I just haven't really been around. Heck, I was supposed to be riding the Sheetiron 300 this weekend on the WR but, well, there are these tiny fires burning in S. California so I am, again, stuck at work. Over 500 hours of OT this year already!!!
Anyway, the WR is back to rolling stock and running. I have around three hundred photos of the build. I have not installed the Trail Tech computer yet but I wanted to get some miles on it before digging in to this project. Taht and I needed to get it built and rideable for this weekend which now isn't happening. The reality is that it wasn't going to happen anyway. Once I got it all up and running it was abundantly clear that I need to order new cables for the throttle (push/pull setup) and the clutch. I am able to make the throttle work by rotating the throttle tube carrier upside down. The clutch, however, is just too short and needs to be replaced wth a longer one as it does not allow clutch engagement when turning the bars beyond 30 degrees to the right. I will call Motion Pro and order custom length cables at + 3 inches this week. I will also try to get some info posted on the build along with, wait for it, pictures!!!!
I think the bike looks amazing. Everything went on with relative ease and only minor to moderate adjustment to make the system work together with all the many different modificaitons I made.
I want to apologize for those who have perhaps been wanting to follow this build and/or see the result of the build or the parts I selected in this project. There has just not been the time to build, work, eat, spend family time, sleep, etc. when you work a normal 56 hour work week and then add over 500 hours of overtime on top of it.
