Worldcrosser Fender/Fork Guards

I know the worldcrosser is a kit added by the dealer after the fact, so I am wondering if it would be possible to buy the guards that come on it? They offer so much more protection over the stock stuff and I am not a fan of shock skins and stuff like that.

I thought I read Yamaha where going to offer the carbon parts? We could make the molds and the carbon parts but probably could not sell enough to even cover the development / manufacturing cost.

I am thinking that I can make these out of kydex and then wrapping them in a fake carbon weave or leaving them in the kydex look.
