Ok. I'll start looking at making the mold. We have made carbon parts before.

I would think the individual Worldcrosser parts will be available otherwise what would you do if you had to replace something? Buy the whole kit again? That doesn't make sense.

The worldcrosser specific accessories (carbon covers etc.) will not become available as orderable parts from Yamaha.
They will only be orderable as replacement parts (eg. after a crash/accident) for/by a Worldcrosser bike. The framenumber of a worldcrosser bike needs to be provided in order to be able to order replacement parts.

That sucks. Still all you need is a Worldcrosser owner to order parts for you. O:)

Well, this is not correct here in Europe. They are available as I posted some posts before. Yamaha started to sell the parts as single pieces as well without any frame number.
I called a few dealers here and they told me the same as you (only with frame number) But I also found some dealers that do not care. My dealer even told me that Yamaha changed their strategy because of the huge request.
The only problem is that the prices are extreme. If you buy 3 carbon parts as single pieces (eg.: both side panels and the fork guards) it is the same price as the complete kit, which is also available sold without bike rigth now.

price: € 2167,00

Gonzo - would you be able to share the contacts for European dealers willing to sell WorldCrosser stuff without frame numbers?

I wouldnt mind some of those knee grip tank pads ... hook a brother up my man! ;D

Ah, OK, then, my information was prvoded to me by Yamaha Europe a few weeks ago as can be read a few posts back as well, (I live in The Netherlands, which is part of Europe too... ;) ), so apparently and luckily they changed their philosophy.

The prices are outrageous.... I can afford them, but am not willing to overpay for those parts. ::)

Ditto.... I'd like the ABS version as I'd likely paint it blue to match the bike...

So are a less expensive version of the World Crosser fork protectors ever produced? After seeing a friends fork weeping and being that guy thats a "follower" and not leading the pack, I think I could use a set of these. But I'm not willing to spend 600 bucks on a pair. ABS or Kydex is fine by me.

I only saw the World Crossers on the rideonadv site…

I understand that these things cost to produce regardless of material as molds and the like need to be made. 150ish is my threshold for pain...
