Couldn't find the form you were talking about, but I thought these goodies were pretty cool.

I’ve just bought the cardan protection from Touratech. It’s plastic but it looks strong. I think the black metal from the Worldcrosser is going to be scratched very quick.

I’m very disappointed with the Worldcrosser, it’s not a real alternative to the GSA.
Yamaha can make THE Adventure bike using the excellent S10 and just adding some longer suspensions to improve the ground clearance, bigger tank, strong protections (not like the decorative bash plate they have), stronger panniers like the GSA… this is what BMW does in the GS and they sale a lot of GSA!!

And if they put a 21” front wheel and a 18” rear…could be incredible!

You know what, If I were going to make THE adventure bike I would start with the 900 not the 1200. Then add all those things that add weight.

The Crosser is just a bit of a poseur bike, but hey horses for courses. I would take a few things off it but not everything.

I think BMW lost the plot about 200cc ago. At least YAMAHA made the 1200 FEEL like a smaller bike when moving, but I would have preferred a lighter tough bike than a light pretty flimsy one with the GS or a complete barge like a fully fuelled GSA.

I love the fuel range, but I wish they would stick that tank on an F800 size bike. Better still I wish any Japanese manufacturer or Triumph would do it.

I won't risk any post 1999 BMW's. I may have been a customer before that, but not now. I'll be back for a look when they have proved the QA is up to scratch.

Imagine a Honda NC700 with a 30Litre tank, 850Km range. ::008:: It won't be built but it would give you time to get to decent fuel nearly anywhere.

You’re right but you’re talking about a completely new bike. Hope one day a manufacturer can make it but I doubt.
Perhaps KTM with their new projects….
