CalSci shorty with an adjuster bracket. Took some fiddling to find the no-buffeting sweet spot, but I did over 1600 miles this week in temps from 40 to 80 with various wind/rain/sun conditions and it worked great.

It will not put you in a bubble of clean air - wind blast is around my shoulders now (which I like) but my head is in pretty clean air. 6' 32" inseam.

has anyone actually tried either of the 2 v stream windshields

I had the middle one, sport/tour, on my bike. It was toasted in the accident, but I liked it very much. i will be getting another one for my new bike ..... as soon as I can afford it. Them. Afford them. Send money. R ::008:: ::012::

BTW, the windshield survived the crash in one piece. It was torn off of the Waspworks bracket, and scuffed badly, but was not chipped or cracked. Sumbich.

I had the Parabellum 24 on Wasp bracket. It was a little tall but did a great job.
My new one will be the 22 on a Madstad bracket. The Parabellum shields are really nicely made. No rough edges and optically clear.
I just checked out the Parabellum 26" windshield. I like it , saved it in my favorites so I can order one later. Thanks.

6 foot three inches and I found the Cal Sci shorty with the Yamaha side defectors to work well. BUT my question is does it get even better than this ?? This set up seems OK to me but maybe it is not ?? I guess I am happy here and can't or won't spend any more to make it "better"
best,

No such thing as peace and quiet with any windshield. Better to ride without one for quiet. I have a 24 inch Parabelum and wasn't happy about the fit. They had handlebar risers on the S10 they used for fitting, so of course it doesn't fit right. ( hits the handguards under full lock) and hits the flashers on the low position. I had to trim mine in 3 places to get it to fit properly. If you talk to them, make sure to mention this but they don't seem to care. Take it or leave it attitude. Check their website pictures. The Risers can clearly be seen. :'(

I have a Givi AirFlow on both my S10 and 12GS. Although it is pig ugly, it works for me. On both bikes I can ride at 80+ (on a German autobahns of course) with my visor up with no buffeting and little wind noise. It is very adjustable, and can be lowered when the temperature rises.

I have the 26 inch Parabellum, works great, exceptional quality IMHO, does not touch the hand guards or signals but I do have risers. I found the folks courteous and very prompt. Even got a small bump in mileage once installed. I really like the fact that there is no distortion in the through view.

I have the same screen as you and like it . A Cal Sci medium came up for sale and winter approaching I thought I would give it a try .
It's awesome ...I can ride 70 mph with my helmet visor up with no problems . There's no buffeting or nothing . I'm looking about 2 inches
over the screen . I have the screen set to the high position and it's great, It will be hard to go back to my shorty screen but when It gets
hot again we'll see .

I had good results with the stock shield + Yamaha wind deflectors + Madstad bracket. Smooth air flow but for more protection I've just installed the sport tour Vstream which should be good for winter use. For summer, I'll probably go back to the stock shield. For reference, I'm 6'2" with a 32" inseam.

Thanks. Hmmmm here I go again. :) Always looking and thinking - and spending ...

Creggur mentioned the short CalSci with an adjuster bracket for tilting. I may look into that as well ...

I actually prefer riding with no shield, that way all of me is in "clear air" and there is no buffeting. But, no shield looks ridiculous on these bikes.

I'd be quite happy if a super low shield was available - basically just a cover to conceal the back of the intruments and the two windscreen supports that come up.

I'm thinking about cutting my OEM shield down if there are no practical aftermarket oprions... also thinking about buying a used low screen for a GS and seeing if I can make it work.

I know Cal Sci will make custom sizes, and that only costs $20 more; however the shields are non returnable once cut.

I'm doing great with the stock shield in the high position ( I'm 6'4" tall with a 36 inseam ) . The only thing I don't like is my Fulmer Modular Helmet , it sounds like my head is in a wind tunnel. Once I change to a quieter helmet I think I'll be fine.
Need to go out this week and get some oil ( I have a new filter ) and do my 600 mile oil change. :)

I'm going to try a Shoei Qwest. It's designed for a more upright seating position like the S10 or a touring/sport touring bike.

JohnB, if you get a Qwest, I'd be very interested in your thoughts on it! I have an RF1000 and really like it, but it's time (6 years) is up.

That's what I did, cut my OEM shield down 3 times, now it's 33cm 13" tall and 34.5cm 13" 1/2 at the widest point. The air is cleaner, I like it in my helmet and in my jacket in the summer time and that's when I also do most of my riding on gravel roads and some easy trails, so it's perfect when standing up on the pegs.

I have a Givi for touring, cold and raining weather, if I'm staying somewhere far for a number of days, I'll throw the little guy in the panniers. Now I just need to polish some of the scratches out, bring out that new shine and put it away for a few months.

Oh yeah, I like that one (directly above).

The black diamond plate one is okay in size, the diamond plate really doesn't twist my nips though.
