Sorry, no pics because it was a short one, but Thursday I got out and enjoyed the beautiful weather we are having at the moment. I buzzed around northeast Scottsdale and out into a bit of the Tonto forest before dropping down into Mesa, then back up to Cave Creek/Carefree.

Then I rode to work Friday and Saturday...

The wife and I road the Loop Road at Big Cypress Nat'l Park and along a random canal that runs along US-41. Two-up on gravel/dirt roads is a pretty different experience but she loved it!

Left El Centro, CA Friday morning.

Rode North on Highway 86 to Interstate 10. I-10 West and jumped up to the 210 West then onto the 101 and followed that all the way to San Luis Obispo, CA. for the weekend. Sunday at about Noon, pretty much just a reverse of Fridays trip. But this time it was the 101 to I-10 and then Highway 86 back to El Centro, Ca. about 880 miles round trip. Saw lots of other bikes out this weekend and got to do a lot of lane splitting on the 101 and a little on the 10.

I know the northerners and Canucks will cringe when I complain about bad weather and no riding... but I finally got out today for a ride after a month-plus off the bikes.

I just took a standard 80 mile loop around the area trying to hit as much dirt/gravel as I could. Weather was fantastic and it felt good to be back on Fancy and I found just enough mud to make it interesting. This bike never ceases to amaze me with its offroad capabilities.

Looking good there trikepilot.
Yesterday I tried my first off pavement of the year and about buried it in the first 5 feet. There is still frost under the dirt [mud] here.

Over to Suches, GA for lunch at TWO - it's their second weekend open this season. Over Wolfpen Gap (GA 180) by Brasstown Bald, up to Hiawassee, GA to US 64 in NC to Rainbow Springs Rd (gravel with waterfalls) and over to Wayah Rd and up to Wayah Bald. Back home via US 64, Hiawassee, Young Harris, Blairsville, Blue Ridge, and then Ellijay.

Thanks. Same here... the freeze-thaw cycles lift and aerate the mud and then the 4-wheelers and other traffic churn it up into a light frothy and pudding-like consistency. Luckily the base was hard and the Mitas e09s just churned right through. I did learn that my 10k+ mile K60 front is ready to be replaced.

No pictures, no where exciting, but with the oven on pre-heat here (today's high is forecast at 88*), I rode to work yesterday and today. We're expecting some cloud cover on Wednesday, so with a high of only 79*, I'm joining an afternoon ride...

1 more day, and off we go to Big Bend! Got a big cabin rented for us old dinosaurs to bunk in.
4 Tenere mates hauling our Big Pigs, 1 each, and 1 dirt bike each, as well.
(I have to substitute the BIG orange bike for my Tenere, while I wait to get my Ohlins back. So technically, Im cheating a bit on the Big Bike Challenge event)
Can't wait to get a couple of long desert rides in. Been a while since I've done anything but commute.

Wish all you cold storage comrades were here with us. We would rule Terlingua!

It still amazes me the healing power of riding. I rode to work. I had a crappy day at work, but the ride home was all I needed to relax. A mere 14 miles on the bike changed the whole outcome of the day.

Visited Madstad factory and had Mark (Owner Designer) install a bracket and a Large + screen on my 2014 S10 ES.
A fun trip but near 250 miles round trip and 5 hours. (pile up on I4 added time and distance to a more typical 220 mile 4 hour Ride)
Also Florida temperatures started at 67 F and hit 84 F so swapping clothes was a pain.

I did a geocache series that was all about old broken bridges on the backroads around Elmira Elora area. Very nice day for a ride on some seldom used roads. Got to see some old order Mennonites go off roadin'! Don't see that everyday. Made a stop at the old covered Kissing Bridge in West Montrose.

What a great day. Love this bike!! ::022::

While we're waiting for Snake to check in, here is how the Desert Challenge went for me. Added some character to the front rim of my DR650. Would you believe no pinch flat for any of those 3 separate hits? Was running 20 psi so that probably saved me. Finished the challenge on it and rode the entire next day even doing some high speed pavement without issue.

Wife and I got our second Tour of Honor site for the season, down in Castle Rock, CO. Windy day, and cool south of the Denver metro area.
