I saw one of the other threads today and asked why wasn't this a thread also. Hope it gains traction. I rode today down 67 to Spencer, Indiana. Across 46 from there to Bloomington on till Nashville and then up 135 back to good ole Indy. Had been a long time since I've been to all three places, and it was good to see them in the fall at 75 plus degrees. I'm loving this weather

From Carlsbad, CA to Julian, CA via Highland Valley Road, Old Julian Highway, and 78. Then home via 78 to 79 to 76 to Valley Center, Lilac to Old Castle to Gopher Canyon.

Portland to Mt. Hood. About a 150 mile round trip. There was ice on the bike after 20 minutes in the parking lot. :-\

Highway 1 South to 101 North, Lucas Valley Rd to Nicasio, past the Cheese Factory, Hickman Valley Rd to the Marshall Petaluma Rd to Marshall, then north on Highway 1 to Tomales.

Cup of coffee.

South on Highway 1 back to my driveway. 100.2 miles.

I was supposed to go out to the store and back, never made it, will try again tomorrow. :)

Highway 6 to 119, to Central City. Behind Central City to Apex Rd then to Mammoth Gulch… Turned around at the snow pack… Fun ride though… Don't know how much longer I'll be able to get back there as winter is fast approaching...

North County San Diego is one of my favorite places to ride...I used to live in Fallbrook!

No riding yesterday, but I am riding to work today....

Come visit and let's go for a ride. And then I'll come out to AZ and you can show me around!

Used to love riding out in the mountains out there on those very roads. To far for me to get there in one day now though.

Dont trust Karsons' GPS. It's defective. Those are NOT roads.

Well, can't say it was today, cuz it was minus 4 degrees here in Salida, Co. But last weekend I had a sweet ride to Ridgeway, Co where I camped out at the Hot Springs at 20 degress. Then I set out for Owl Creek Pass. But 15 miles up I found snow pack. I know on the ice I will not be able to pick up this beast, so I retreated. I figured riding in the Mtns the middle of Nov, I did pretty good.

took it for an impromptu cruise up to Fremont Peak - it's a park with lovely views around the San Juan Bautista/ Hollister area of central California... (for proof of CA, you can see exposures of the San Andreas Fault from there!) They have some good hiking trails and an observatory which runs programs and star parties throughout the year (first place I really saw the rings of Saturn LOL) There is also a good off-road recreation park near by if that is your thing.

Keeping the thread alive ;D - I like hearing about all your cool riding places! So keep'em coming!
Here is one I got in last weekend to Pinnacles which is now a national monument. It is one of the habitats where they are reintroducing California condors - though I only saw one in 4 trips... It is always home to some volcanic rock formations as well as a few caves good for spotting bats up close and personal... but they close the caves off during peak hibernation.
The ride around the park and nearby towns (Soledad, etc.) is great with lots of secondary roads and pleasant scenery (a mix of coastal, valley, and hills depending on your route)...
