Asking about my zip tie job on the spokes.
There have been some loose spokes for some riders. (there is a big thread on this, "Check your spokes" ) With our hub design, the nipple is in the hub, not the rim, so it can, and will fall out while riding if it gets loose enough. You can't do much about that, but another hazard already experienced by a few riders is that the spoke then flops around, hits the swing arm or other items and gets bent to hell. Zip ties at the spoke cross over points is a cheap and easy way to prevent the loose spoke from flopping around. Worst case, you would still need a replacement nipple, but at least you don't damage the spoke. Cheap insurance. They don't need to be tight, just there to retain the spoke, should the worst happen.
