Installed the winglets. Second thing I did was replace the plastic M5 fastener. Noticed the instructions said to torque to 4.4 in lbs so thought I'd try it, didn't even know if the torque wrench would register that, but it did. Couldn't get the plastic screw to hold the phillips head. Tried the JIS driver and regular driver, couldn't figure out what type was supposed to use. Anyway, never did make it to 4.4 in lbs., after that switched them out for metal and used common sense. Appears they do smooth the air out, never noticed there was so much air coming up from below til they were installed. So it's official, I now have a STOL motorcycle.
Cruising down the highway at about 85 indicated, thought it would be nice if there was a convex mirror in the center to look out for the blind spots. Did some searching and found there was one made by Riderscan. 180 degree view. Looks like it might attach to the crossbar behind the windscreen. Anybody every try one and like it? I see reviews all over the board and looks like china is the only ones making them now.
