That looks comfortable enough. I did the Russel Day Long, my butt has not stopped a ride since.

I'm just a few weeks in. I am truly amazed so far. ::008::

I've been an S10 owner for about 3 wks. In the past couple days I've installed some Mastech crash bars (because I'm cheap) a Dynamic Motorcycles passenger rack and pillion backrest, some grip buddies, and bolted a Pelican 1400 case onto the Dynamic rear rack to use as a small trunk. Also installed a Quadlock Cell phone holder on the wind screen GPS bar.
Received a dash infill from LB products today but need to paint and install. Not quite sure how that installs however. Anyone have any tips?

Removed the rear wheel for the first time to put on a new Mitas E-07 Dakar. While I was at it I greased the rear spline and changed the final drive fluid.

Adjusted bar, grips, mirrors. Rubbed a few scratches out. Gettin' ready to lower about an inch. Yesterday got a 1 1/2 inch cut in rear tire....8 plugs, rode to dealer and had new annakee lll's on, going for a ride now in N. Arizona forest from Williams to Jerome; nice wilderness ride!

Don't forget the kickstand, it may be too long. And it will be even more of a bear to get up on the center stand. ::008::

Mine over the last week has received an oil change, brake and clutch fluid replacement, radiator flush, new E-07 tires, new LED bulb for the burnt out left headlight, and new battery. All just normal maintenance.

Expensive week, but so far in the last 3 1/2 years, and 44K miles, she has never failed to start or take me wherever I wanted.

That seat actually doesn't look too bad on the bike either. Which RDL version & cover did you go with?

Last week I cooked off the rest of my rear tire in the Black Hills, hitting the wear bars about half way through my trip, so my hope that my rear would last the rest of the season is no more. I decided on the Michelin Pilot Road 4 a while back, in preparation for this event, and all I can say is DAMN. It's a whole new bike now, and turns in just by thinking it. I put them through their paces already today, and I'm am a satisfied customer.

Collected new custom made seat yesterday, not been for a ride long enough to know how it performs but initial impressions are good.

Main seat flatter, rounder, ~15mm taller towards the front, tapering down to stock height at the rear. Pillion is a good chunk higher & wider also.

Looks good, where did you have it done? Tony Archer?

Put my first 80 miles on after installing the new CCT, clutch basket and Barnett plates. Am very pleased with the results. No more clatter at start up. The bike shifts like a dream. No more 3800rpm shudder. Score -score - score. Am ready for another 48,000 miles.

Had to plug my very first flat. A 50% K60 took two plugs to seal. :'( Gonna try one of the new Avons.

How does the friction zone with the Barnett plate kit feel?

One of my biggest complaints with this bike is the extremely short friction zone the clutch has. I have heard great things about how the Barnett Kevlar plates really increase and length and feel of the friction zone. I would really like to do that to my S-10 one day.

You're a blessed man! I can't count the number of flats I've had. :D Don't toss the tire at 50%, just pull it off and install an inside patch/plug. O-Riellys Version Any Auto parts store will have them. Better stores will sell them individually in various sizes up to 3/8" stem dia. Tire stores sometimes will install them if you walk in with the tire off the wheel. Or just give you the plug/patch to do yourself.

It's the best way to repair a larger hole and will last the life of the tire. I've only had to resort to this a couple of times for larger holes, but never had an issue. Last time I did this, I just walked the loose tire into the local Big O tire store and sweet talked them into doing it for me. They didn't want any paperwork and I offered to pay cash, then the guy just did it and wouldn't charge me. Sweet! Typical method in a nut shell is to grind/buff the inside where the puncture is, pull the plug thru from the inside to the outside after exposing the sticky base, or coating it with the adhesive in some cases, then smooth it on the inside nice and flat, then cover the whole area with some more adhesive and let dry for 15 minutes or so. Snip any excess "tail" off on the outside of the tire and you're done.
