Did you put it in the stock location? That one doesn't need a relay does it? The horn that's on this thing has to go!

I installed a mount ring for my bags connection tank bag. I've recieved a couple of other items, but it may be a few days till they get installed.
Replaced the stock. Put a 90 degree bend in the mounting bracket to help keep water out of it. After reading on here, it seems to do fine without a relay.

Took the luggage off after a two week holiday and went for a blast around some country roads - I love that I can sit on this bike for so many days/miles & when i get back the first thing i want to do is go for a ride :)

Will post a route & some pics in the appropriate forum soon.

Had my 2nd set of EO7 Dakars mounted. Got about 5500 miles out of the rear, and except the far edges, it had zero tread down the middle. Wish it didn't have the thick bar down the middle to give it a little moe useful life. Could have probably gotten another 2K out of the front, but I can get the set pretty cheap relative to just a rear.

Thinking about trying the Anakee Wilds when I wear this set out. More expensive, but I'd be interested to see what type of traction and wear they get. Can't find a whole lot of reviews on this or other forums, except that they cost more. From what I see, about $70-80/set more than the Dakars.

Nothing today, but scheduled September 27 to October 7 vacation. Not sure where yet but it will include NM and AZ to complete riding the lower 48 and AZ 666 just because. Starting in Iowa so the NW corner could be SD.

New Mitas E-07's put on after 16K miles on the last set. Front was cupped pretty good and felt like it wanted to step out a little on turns. Rears were worn down pretty good and not rain friendly anymore. All back to good now, love these tires.

New battery ordered (YTZ14S). Bike is taking longer to start, and today noticed it was resetting the TCS back to 1 during the start, even though I set it to 2 when I turn the key and prior to hitting the starter.

Expensive day.

So if you want to wheelie, you need to plan ahead and shut off TCS when you start her up.

Same w/Gen I.
If you are talking about switching the bike off and back on with the key, yes, it does reset back to the default "1". But at least on the Gen1, if you switch the TCS to a different setting after turning the power on with the key, then start the bike, it should stay at what you set it at. At least if you do not have a weak battery.

I understand. Yes, your starting voltage is dropping below whatever the threshold is to maintain that setting. Good indicator. My Wife's Sienna used to lose it's radio presets. It was frustrating, but it did alert to possible problems.

Now this is helpful! I had always made the switch after starting the engine, only to have the TCS go back to TCS 1 the next time I started it.

It will still do that. He only meant it will stay as he sets it when he starts the bike that one time. As soon as he turns the bike off, it re-sets to TCS 1 again, same as everyone else.

When we were riding the BDR, I got into the habit of just hitting the kill switch if the stop was only for a couple minutes, which left everything energized. This way the settings all remained the same till the next long break. It is annoying, but it is what it is.

Now if someone could devise a 'flash' or a fix, that would be nice.

Installed the Puig touring windshield and went for a ride. Much quieter than the Cal-Sci Medium that I had before.

Detailed review of the Cal-Sci medium windshield coming soon. Spoiler alert and Summary: Cal-Sci medium is excellent in removing buffeting but whistles above 35 mph and turned cloudy very quickly. Not impressed for the price.
