I painted that water pipe behind the headers. Whatever finish Yamaha used there, it had completely degraded and was white and blotchy in appearance. I used some flat black high temp ceramic exhaust paint I had on hand.

New Cyclops H7 replacement LED bulbs.

OEM cap next to modeled and printed version, designed deep enough to accommodate the new bulbs.

OEM cap/bulb next to new cap/bulb install.

Cap removed to show LED wires tucked out of way.

No ride testing yet, but initial beam looks promising.

DIY givi airflow. I had a universal airflow screen for my Vmax that I really liked. I decided I could make my own airflow for the tenere. I took all the brackets off the universal on, cut holes in my stock screen, and put the airflow panel on the stock screen. With the madstad bracket, I've got a crazy amount of adjustability and coverage. I'll test it after dinner to see if it's smooth and quiet.

Just added RS4, Yamaha tall windscreen. Not much extra sound, but enough. New windscreen seems better, But waiting on the two wind deflectors on backorder-grrrr
I also added the RS4 exhaust. Takes up half the space of the OEM tail pipe! Was not looking for a loud sounding pipe, but it grunts fine to me. Adding a K&N air filter gave the S10 more air to suck in. Full Arrow exhausts will be installed in a couple of months.

The two side air deflectors are also nice to have. They work and although a bit pricey....they do rptheir job. I added a Madstad bracket and light grey 20 inch screen to give me the no turbulence\noise issue.

Went for a 260 mile ride, dirt and street. Surprisingly we had four Tenere's in the group of ten. one generation 1 and three gen 2's. good time had by all. Which brings the question, how many Tenere's have You seen together? ::021::

I added two 30MM ammo cans. I got them back from the powder coating shop. I added carriage bolts to one side and an eye bolt to the other to put a padlock on. Rode from Boise to Billings and back (1,381 Miles) and didn't feel much drag or balance issues. See photos.

The UPS guy just dropped off my new Russell Day Long seat. Had to try it on. I'll get the heating element wired up tomorrow.
Sunbrella top in slate gray with vinyl sides.

The folks at Russell Cycle Products (http://www.day-long.com/) were great, answering questions quickly during what must be the busiest time of year for them. I'm planning a ride along the Columbia river to test out my first Day Long seat. My butt has been looking forward to this for many years.

I took off my ACD skid plate, went to the dealer to let them look at the drip from the Water Pump, and brought it back home while they submit this to Yamaha YES and order parts. No sense leaving it there while its still rideable on a beautiful day.

Very boring. Changed oil and final drive oil a little late because of a trip to Missouri late last fall. Sort of sad that I only put less than 5000 miles last year. Trying to squeeze in a combination Saddle Sore / Butt burner ride on the Tenere in the next couple of weeks. I have completed both separately but never bothered to file the paperwork.

Over the last few days I've added machined mirror extenders and adjustable levers, aftermarket winglets, and swapped the TT windshield mount for a Madstad. Also I removed the TTbar risers and went to the stock height.

So far all of the above were improvements, particularly the screen mount swap. I'm getting close now with the screen, but there is still room to improve.

Rode it 150 miles two up...then later discovered that it sounds like a bag of spanners when you don't wear ear plugs

( dropped it at a mates house - he's a mechanic and he is going to grease everything that needs greasing

Wheel spindles
Shock linkages
Steering head bearings
Swing arm bearings
Splines on shaft

Did my 51,000 mile lube and oil change.
Installed a new, rear Mitas E07 Dakar, replacing the previous one with 10,000 miles on it. It wasn't all the way worn out but didn't want to push it.
Swapped out the 750 rear spring for the 950 spring on the Penske shock because we're going to Overland Expo West in a couple of weeks, 2-up and camping out.
