We seem to be obsessed with the slim possibility of a tiny leak when any self respecting Harley rider would view that as merely "marking his territory". On my Harley I didn't even have a washer. I used some plumber's tape (teflon tape) instead :)

What I'm about to do thanks to Stadium Yamaha.

$219 shipped to door

I did the same thing, but wish I would have bought the Symtec heaters, and used the grips I want.

Got my DSBP final drive guard installed.

How is this piece not akin to the skid plates that bolt directly to the engine sump? Are we not taking any impact forces and channeling them to the bolts that attach directly to the FD?

Have there been any documented Tenere FD failures due to impact from terrain or objects?

As many here are aware, I have a propensity for regularly taking my Tenere (aka TBDBITW) into all kinds of rough terrain but I have never had any issue whatsoever. Something like this "might" be useful but I have an aversion to extra weight that adds superfluous benefit.

Anxious to hear how the install goes. I'm seriously considering this upgrade. If you wouldn't mind, please post pics and describe your install. Thanks and ride safe.
20 minutes and my garage is a disaster area. Plus the Enduro Engineering GPS bar. Plan is to get a cheap ass Nuvi for a 2nd opinion. Hate only using one GPS. Always put Apple maps up against Google Maps when I'm someplace I don't know.
