Today I cut the heads off the bolts to create my engine studs for installing the crash bars and skid plate. Otherwise just trying to not become overwhelmed thinking about all that is left to do to get the bike setup.

Still more in the mail coming my way.

I decided not to take the E07s off my wife's bike and give her my new Battlewings. Too much work. Ordered a new front E07 and will reinstall the partially used rear I took off my bike before the ride out west. Looks a little funny right now when my wife pulls up on a nice E07 knobbie, and there I am on my slick like Battlewings. Just looks wrong.

Oh speaking of my wife, she purchased a helmet hook for her handlebars. I don't remember her ever ordering any part for a bike...ever. That got installed this evening as well.

I ordered up the parts to replace my leaky fork seal. I had tried the seal mate, and it's still dripping. I also found a universal fork spring compressor from Traxxion Dynamics on eBay for $16...

Got ready to change the engine oil and rear drive lube .... but too hot and humid ... so will do it in the morning ...

Did the oil change and rear drive lube. Already greased shifter and rear brake pivot, flushed brake clutch lines.

Oil filter did not leak and all is well.

Side note: After the oil change to 10W40 Mobil 1 the shifting is easier than with Yamalube 15W50 synthetic dino blend.

Also after using the Yamaha extreme rear drive gear oil the rear drive noise increased a little for about 5 minutes not sure why

All seems good

I don't see any grease there for lubing the shifter pivot...hint, hint.

Got my bike back from Erion Racing after dropping it off last week for a dyno tune. Based on the blue-ing of the headers they must have got them pretty hot!

Put it on your calendar now---- In 2018 they will have the Dempster done all the way to the Arctic Ocean. 600 miles of gravel one way. One of the remotest roads in North America.
I'll get my boy and son-in-law to go.
