I missed "Seat Spacers". What are they and where do you order them?
Modification detailed here. For those that haven't noticed, Checkswrecks has taken on the task of organizing the modification threads by category, so it should make things a bit easier to find.

They're the shorter seat bumpers for the underneath rear of the seat to lessen the slope of the seat.
Thought I missed something with the word "spacers". Been through the bumpers. A custom seat helped.

Changed the Final Drive Fluid at 1,319 miles. Uglies !!!

Messed with the electronic suspension settings. Becoming less impressed. Soft 0, +1, +2, +3, Std 0, +1 are good to ride and can't imagine what I would use the Hard and other Std settings for.

31k miles blew a head light bulb, just replaced both (Silver Star) kept the good one for a backup.
A good reminder to carry a spare. ::008:: Expect to replace the Silver Stars in about 10k. :( I swapped out a bulb a couple of weekends ago and went to buy one at a truck stop and it was unbelievable how much they wanted! Thanks for reminding me I still need to pick up a spare.

Year before last (2012 Tenere) I lost both headlights on the same ride. Replaced them at an O'Reilly's. Think I lost four total in 52,000 miles. Hope the 2015 ES has better headlight mileage. :)

Popped my cherry today 8)

Crossed a creek and on the other side was deep loose sand, the front wheel went one way while the rear wheel went the other, crossed it back up the other way and thought I was going to save it until the front wheel dug in and flicked the bars to full lock and threw me off.

Took a few goes to pick the big girl up trying to get a footing in the sand.

A fun day riding fire trails in the Hunter Valley/Wollombi region.

Halfway home I thought to myself I should have taken a photo ::010::

A Tenere that:
Has never been off-road
Has never been down
Garage kept, never in rain
.......
Makes for a great Tenere to buy used.

But hardly "used", if you know what I mean.
Congrats for using yours!
That's a happy Tenere.

As we've discovered, going down on the left side in sand can still impact the fan even with bars in place. Be watchful. ::26::

Changed my coolant today for the first time on my 2012. Old stuff came out clean and "blue". Flushed once with distiller water. (Filled it, ran up to temperature and drained it) then filled it with engine ice. It's probably no different than regular anti-freeze, but it meets or exceeds all specs, so I thought I would try it.
Siphoned out the overflow bottle too. I've never been so particular about changing anti-freeze, maybe I'm getting old or something :D

Broke in some Big Blocks on the Burr Trail outside Escalante, UT this morning. Pretty damp, so no dust, some water crossings and good fun coming back up the switchbacks. Walked out one of the slot canyons too. Very cool.

Not older though smarter. :) Spend a few dollars and possibly save hundreds.

I lost both in one ride once and have probably gone through 8 total. It does like to eat them.

I installed the Yamaha winglets. I think I'll replace the plastic screws with some stainless though.

Missed the Burr in '12 because the ferry was closed. Hope to catch it in '16! ::012::
Hey, there's a campground east of Boulder on the Burr...

Mine went down on the right. But you are right when I picked the bike up there was sand packed between the bars and the plastic covers that needed to be scooped out by hand. Had it been on the left there very well could have been enough force to move or press on the fan.

As for the damage in my case there was none, I straightened out one of the fog lights, straightened out my air horn and adjusted my mirror and was off again ::26::.... after walking my bike under power out of the sand.

Before the rest in the sand I almost come a cropper descending this

Which was steeper than it looks in the photo as you can't really see the reliefs in the photo. 3/4s the way down i locked the rear and it started sliding on the rocks and trying to pass the front wheel the bike turned nearly 90degrees to the track before I got it under control again.

The video's crap as it was just shot on my iPhone mounted on the accessories bar.
