Put 406 miles on the Anakee Roads yesterday. Road on the highway, backroads, twisty roads, and straight roads. Some rain, some wet, some hot and dry. I like these tires. Feel exactly the same in all conditions. Run smooth and quiet too. Bike felt good, I'm happy with them.

I am using them as well and like them a lot so far. I have just under 3K miles on them.

Life is better with a daily rode ST.

Trac on default 90% of the time but I don't baby the throttle. I ride in extreme heat. Scrape pegs/boots.

No burnouts. Limited offroad use. No wheelies (...not that I don't want get on that level of confidence on the bike).

Current wear. Around 7000mi +/-.

What mileage we seeing out of clutches? How about brake pads?

Looks like its getting close to done. That's about what I got on my last Bridgestone before I put the Roads on.

I dunno what it is but I take the TDM over dirt roads around here and, with the road tyres, I’m feeling as skatey as anything (probably my inexperience on dirt though).
On the S10, everything feels 100 times more stable even though the tyres are the Adventure kind rather than pure off-road.

Today... I tried to ride to work on her ... but I got a check engine light and zero throttle response so I had to idle home 3 miles.

This is from a 5,300mi trip two years ago near the Hoover Dam in Arizona USA.

No, there is no kickstand in use.

I had this very issue a few months ago when I put new plugs in after doing an oil change.
I immediately blamed it on the plugs.
Turns out, my oil level was too low… I didn’t put enough in after the change (yes, let the ridiculing begin now… I deserve it )

It's pretty simple. The thing you have to be careful is getting the ABS parts, front & back, back in the right place. Otherwise, for the front: center stand on a 2" x 6" (depending on how much grunt you can muster, might need a helper to get it up on the stand on the wood) Floor jack with a piece of wood to the skid plate. (yet another reason for a skid plate) Unbolt one caliper and zip tie it up. Remove the pinch bolts. Pull the axle, keeping an eye on the spacer and orientation of the ABS "plate". Ease the bike up with the jack an finagle the tire out. Reverse the process for install.

I'm liking these Awake Roads enough that I ordered a spare set for autumn. Figure I don't want them on back order when I need them.

Speaking of new rubber. . . . changed out my front to the Conti TA 3. . . .
My initial observations on the Contis: Considerably less rolling resistance. It felt less and was backed up by my CRNT fuel mileage reading by at least 2mpg better. I've been wondering why this year's mpg seemed to be down by 3 or 4 mpg. We'll see what it does to the tank's mpg. They have a quicker "turn in", which could be a side effect of the less rolling resistance. Rock sold stability at speed. My last tires had a weird oscillation above 90pmh.

My only concern is how they're going to handle the heat here. Most everybody here that's been using them, liking them, and influenced me to try them, live in cooler climates. Especially the UK guys. Time will tell with the Contis, fingers crossed. I know my last tires, Dunlop Road Smarts got slippery below 50°F. There were several things I didn't like about them and will not be using them in the future.
