Argentina is very far away from motorcycle production. Probably a high shipping cost.

I did my second oil change (the shop did one on the 600 mile running in service). Unlike the last time I did it, I got the filter off myself and the oil light went out straight away.

The only thing I did different this time was to part fill the oil filter and keep it on the side stand through the whole process. I couldn't do the oil filter part the last time because the Yamaha dealer had done the oil filter up so tight that even my local shop struggled to get it off after I had given up before I wrecked it. I tried a cup type socket, a chain wrench and filter pliers, but I was just denting the thing all over. I thought about screwdrivering right through the thing, but had images of torn metal instead and I had work in the morning. I just changed the oil and got my local shop to just change the filter with a promise not to go full Hulk on the replacement.

This time I waited till morning and did the oil level check as per the book with the bike level and I ended up putting the whole 4 litre bottle in. That's twice now, so next time I won't bother doing the amount in the book which was 3.4l. My Versys was the same, I think it's because I leave them draining for a few hours whilst I go and do something else.

The Two Brothers on my kids R6 is plenty loud too. We make him ride behind us.
yeah its loud but nothing like the yosh on my bandit 1200, the lower tone helps the perceived sound too.
Doesnt look like or atleast havent found any DB killer yet for the downturn style exit they use for the super tenere.

I have a Two Brothers slip on muffler for my bike. I really like the sound of it. I could listen to it all day long. I did melt my reflector on that side of the bike a bit from the heat coming out of it but nothing real bad.

2Brothers are too loud for this guy, forget being stealthy in small communities and neighborhoods, slipping through being unseen in travels.
Its more like, HEY LOOK AT ME, i'm a hooligan.....LOL, J/K
I have the Akra and once it is broken in that system has one sweet sound, more like an orchestra at throttle and stealthy in commute.

i did go ahead and purchase the db killer insert to put in if i find it to loud. bit to much snow and ice on the road to do anything but run it in the garage atm so ill give it while to see if i need to install it

Yesterday, the new owner of the motorcycle sent me. They checked the valves, the exhaust valves are all out of tolerance, the intake valves, only one is in tolerance. Also, after adjusting the valves, we checked the engine power on the stand. Power showed 98 horsepower at the crankshaft. Gasoline has been filled with old since October. Mileage 56 thousand km.

Looks more like typical rear wheel horsepower, as compared to crankshaft power? 98 sounds pretty low/weak for crank power, but probably about right at the rear wheel for most dyno graphs I’ve seen.

Agreed, plus getting crank hp on a shaft drive bike would be pretty tough. Dynomometers used to measure are measuring wheel hp.

+1. But if I'm reading his chart right, it shows 98hp at the shaft, and 80hp at the wheel. But, the dyno looks like a standard HP at the ground version. I'm assuming that the machine is calculating the power at the different points.

I myself did not understand how this happens. Most likely, the power was checked in T mode. I asked him questions about how they checked, in which mode S or T.

I don't think "T" or "S" would make a difference in the total HP. "T" would just take longer to get to the peak.
Agreed.

The dyno was clearly measuring at the wheel then the computer used some input assumptions to calculate for the crank.

That said, I think the labels are wrong, as the white line is pretty darned close to what others have shown with their dyno results.
For example:

Took a spin a on a mates' brand spankin' new 2021 ktm super adv today. thoughts vis a vis the s10...? very different bikes. beautiful engine, grunty as f*#k. I didnt like the rest of it much though. such a high performance engine seemed to be ill matched to the platform? i.e 21 inch front, long travel suspension, 'twitchy' at speed. don't get me wrong, it's a lovely bike, it just does'nt work (for me) as well as the package we have in the yamaha. just my 2 cents.

Ss1...good luck bro,,,i know you'll get another bike,,,and let the good times roll! kia kaha from NZ

The SAS with the 19 inch front is a fairer comparison.
