A lot of free time for now, trying to keep my sanity while pumping some money into the economy.
Unfortunately as the Meatloaf song goes: "All Revved Up With No Place To Go"!
Pyramid Extenda Fenda installed using Oatey ABS cement:

Brake fluid change done yesterday and thanks to this great forum I learnt how to purge the ABS pump too (with the jumper wire on that connection under the seat). Really happy that I did that too. Brakes are much better now. I reckon there may have been some air trapled in my ABS pump. All feals good now though

I ventured into a new GPS setup. Moved my existing Garmin Montana to a bar mount and installed a Samsung Tab A (2019) on the windshield mount. Going to try to use GAIA GPS as main off road GPS source. View attachment 66086

that’s a great set up with the tablet. When I was in north Africa with my bike last year, I ran into a local who used a Samsung tablet as his GPS. He also had a data package on it so got instant information on everything. He chose a tablet over GPS because he could use Google maps and would have a much larger screen to boot. With our exorbitant data rates in Canada, you could probably use maps.me or Sygic.

what actually have you done can i ask, how did you open the light up like that did you cut it
I used a heat gun, heat the whole edge well being careful not to melt the plastic, then start opening from the top, heat again if necessary, the butyl tape then it must be put back when we close the headlight!

He also blacked out the bezel around the bulbs. I had to go look to make sure, but the bezels are chrome. Yamaha should "black" them from the start. (my opinion)

Gaia seems to have the option of downloading the layers needed in advance if you know the route you will taking. I will do some tests around this area before venturing into our planned trip this year on the NEBDR.

Right now I have way to much glare from the screen protector of the case. I am waiting on an anti glare screen protector material to see if it helps.
Thanks for the recommendations

Wishing my, love to ride, still turn around and give it another glance when I walk away, happy to see when I open up the garage door, first Saddle Sore 1000 IBA#71196, comfortable, what kind of bike is that?, fuel sipping, twisting throttle fun (not fuel sipping), stable, 22196 mile reliable, fun, where will go today?, enjoy to keep clean and polish like the day I got it, a Happy 2nd Anniversary.

Had to take it out while the sun poked a few beams out. Tomorrow will be sunny and warmer and further. Have a great day everyone and stay safe.
Thank you for letting me indulge you and thank you all for this great site and the wealth of good information and pictures and stories and getting me through the times I can't ride.
