I put a new to me OEM low seat on the S10 and just back from a ride around the neighborhood. Not sure if I like it or not. Yamaha basically took a regular seat and just shaved off an inch of foam off the top. The result is that the top "flat" part of the seat is wider which pushes my legs out slightly further to the side when sitting. End result is reach to the ground is the same as a stock seat. I have a 30" inseam and I'm just about on the balls of my feet when I put my feet down.

Maybe it'll improve after I break the foam in on the low seat?

Mine came with the low seat, and I had the same problem. It really cut into the back of my legs. The seat bumper mod helped, but what helped the most was trading seats with another forum member. His stock, for my low. Much better for me, but may not work with your 30" inseam....especially since you're experimenting with the low.

I was "snakebitten" yesterday when these fancy new shoes showed up at the door.

Cannot wait to spoon these babies on this weekend! Those are 5400+ mile K60's that I have flogged pretty well. They have plenty of "street" life in them so they'll be stored for future use when I am most asphalt pounding.

Pulled it out of hibernation where it has been since Nov. And as it looks like we have been able to send the rest of the polar vortex south ::013:: will soon be back riding.
And a new set of Mitas E-07s to replace the Heidenaus.

Trikepilot,
Sucker!!!! LoL
I love it really. Just means you wanna go play for a while. Everybody oughta take time to play time to time.

Absolutely gorgeous day down here today. So I scrubbed in a new set myself. Mounted em yesterday in cold wet drizzle. So had to take it kinda easy.
But today I went all blinky blinky on em. :)
Then threw in a few ditches and corner lots. And finished up ripping my dirt road a nice trench down the middle. It was awesome!
This is my first BB front though. And yesterday I wasn't sure about it. A touch of vagueness and a different feeling turn in. But I'm good now. Just had to go right at it and see how it responded. At 37lbs and scrubbing it's gonna get to play. :)

Snake... had to run outta town for the weekend, but blinky-blinky is most definitely in the future for the BB's. I want to try to get some GoPro footage to document the process and will try to post. At the cost, if these only go 2500 miles and they give me the smile I expect they will... they will be worth it. With my old KLR, I had two rear wheel sets - one with a street biased tire and the other with a D606. I lust over such a setup for the SuperTen. Gotta keep an eye out for that ST that gets totaled but the rear rim with rotor is still good.

Fitted a new RHS upper cowl to mine , it was to replace the bush scarred original as part of its 3yr old tart up. I also decided to fit my Waspworks Speedblocks that I've had sitting around for a while. Had to remove the oem speedblock from the lhs side to allow fitment of the matching wspwrks version. I can't say that this was the easiest of decals to fit even with the soapy water method as the panel curves around the tuning fork badge make it awkward to get it lined up and uncreased, maybe warmer weather would help as it was sub 10degC I resorted to pinching the daughters industrial heat hairdryer to get it on and stuck fast. I was in two minds on if I should fit the WorldCrosser upper panel decals I have but I like the oem 1st ed yellow upper decal and a lower speedblock combo better .

That looks like a great tire for the situations into which I know you are likely to find yourself. That tire looks well suited for you and your proclivities. Enjoy the hell out of it. ::26::

Fitted a fender extender, side panel, removed warning stickers and had a general fiddle on the first day it's not rained. Would of gone out but had to take several car loads of junk to the tip to keep wifey happy.

Found a broke rear spoke (missing nipple, bent spoke) whilst cleaning the bike. See, there is some value to TLC. I'd gotten lax about checking them, having not found a loose one in 27,000 miles. That will teach me. Hopefully I can source a couple of spares from a forum member, otherwise I"ll have to bite the bullet and buy set. Yikes! $85 for a rear set.

Is there a good tool for tighten these? I have a spoke wrench and Allen wrenches, but neither fit easily into the wheel confines.
