TwistedThrottle.com has good prices and sometimes runs sales. With purchase you earn a cash discount for your next order. Taking that into consideration their prices are very similar to Ebay seller moto-race. They have US and CA websites.

I did some more research why my Mitas E-07 on the front only lasted about 7,000 miles before it turned the bike into a giant vibrator. It definitely appears that if you ride like me - straight roads only as necessary evil to get to the twisters, cornering until your pegs almost rub, and only about 10% off road - they scallop from much cornering. Up until they started vibrating though, they were great tires.

Are these the Mitas E-07 Dakar tires? What tire pressures do you run?

IDK why cornering would cause that wear. More commonly it is caused by lower tire pressure and hard braking on pavement. What psi do you run? What mileage have you got on other tires?

34 PSI, the Battlewings on the front with the same pressure were barely worn when I took them off after 8,500 because the rear was done

I run 38 psi and don't air down for off pavement either. This is a Dakar at 13,284 miles with ~15% dirt/rock and 30% mountain twisties. I use Ride-On so tire is being continually balanced. I'm betting another 5,000 miles are remaining still as leaving it on for my next mostly pavement ride of that distance.

You are running a little low on pressure, but not a significant amount. I prefer 36 psi in front/42 in rear. Regardless, if this is your preferred riding style, why did you choose to mount up a set of 50/50 tires? Pirelli Angel GT would be more suitable to your riding style.

I will definitely give them another try, especially if heading to CO next year, and run them on 38 PSI

I run mine at 40 psi and the front is over 16k. Would have to look to really know how many. Need a new on before the next trip but it will last the winter.

Just pulled the rear E-07 Dakar off. 12,764 miles . I cut it with my sawsall to see how much meat it had left. it still had 3/16" of rubber left before it would have showed cords. It wasn`t exactly easy to to cut and my saw would NOT cut the beads. I had to use bolt cutters. I believe I could have gotten another 1k out of it , IF , my rides would all be local. C.R.A.P. ???

Pretty impressive. I tend to change tires early. I'm always afraid of bad traction in rain. We don't get a lot here but I don't ride a lot locally.

New set of E07 Dakar before riding from Virginia to Alaska. Lot's of rain throughout the trip. The E07 inspired lots of confidence wet/dry/long distance/dirt. For me, I don't know what more I could ask for out of a tire. It has been a real champ.

Well I read all 16 pages :). As usual I’m surprised at how many folks prefer to ride with over inflated tires ! Seems very likely I will be buying a set of Mitas EO7’s for our upcoming Inuvik trip, trip should be less than 10,000 miles so I’m hoping not to have to buy any more tires before we get home.

How are you defining over inflation? The E-07 Dakar rear tire has a 42 psi cold rating. I'm not rereading 16 pages but don't think it's common here for anyone to inflate over that.

Where are y'all buying your E07 from? Most of my go-to online tire places don't seem to carry Mitas (Rocky Mountain ATV, American Moto Tire).

Revzilla and Chaparral are both $158 for a rear -- are there better deals out there?

Twisted Throttle is the cheapest I've found. ~$154
Funny that Rocky Mountain sells the E-09 and E-10 but not E-07

I just got a set of E07s for the AT.
Just under $300 CDN for the set of E07 dakars.
That's like $150 USD ::025::
Joking aside, that's a screaming deal.
I did groove my last two rear mitas, and got an additional 2k out of them..bringing it up to a staggering 10k km for the rear ::010::
The front was feathered badly.

I typically cheap out on all my tires.
Here's a shinko knobby for my xc300

I was wondering if anyone using these tires has had punctures or flats. With all the riders here using them, that's a lot of testing miles. I've had 2 sets with no flats even with some fairly rocky trail riding in sections. The first set I had, did have a slow leak on the front that needed to be topped up every couple of weeks but the second set did not have this issue.

So has anyone been let down by them?
