Happiness comes two wheeled
"That might be the most expensive solution of them all. Even buying a 2014 ST that comes with cruise control would be cheap compared to all the repair and hospital bills and inheritance taxes!
Because of the return cable, this method would even work on dirt bikes. But I knew a guy who died because he installed heated grips improperly. He hit an inconveniently located tree, and his dying words were about a stuck throttle.
"
Haha .. yes Curt, good point!! All I have to say is that every guy choose its own risks, but can´t deny you are wisely right.
Now, getting your throttle hard (that is hard to move but not fixed 4 ever) is what u do when tensioning the cable, u can twist it back whenever u want, which is the same task done by the rest of the throttle locks around.
Also I imagine that having problems to twist it back (cant imagine how now but picking your nose ::025: would be applying same logic as having problems on reaching the front brake lever/button properly to disconnect an electronic CC or detaching any sort of throttle lock , so I cant tell day to night if one solution is riskier than the other but deffinitely WE ARE playing with fire here.
About hitting a tree.. well thats one of worst scenarios that hopefully none of us will reach. All I can say is that any of us can reduce cleverly the risk of failing leaving any sort CC STRICTLY for highway use, any other place u'll be jeopardizing your life.
