Nice Bonnie, I used to have the America which was a blast to ride. Then moved on to the Rocket which was also a fun bike and now I'm down to the Speed Four as far as Triumphs go.
I have a 1992 TDM. It's not going to win any roll on speed contests against any other bike I have owned except maybe the NT. But it is the fastest bike I have ever owned, on a tight twisty road with me piloting it. I'm not a super rider and I save my risktaking for the track, staying well within my comfort zone on the street. The TDM is so confidence inspiring that my comfort zone extends a lot farther, which makes it a joy to ride. That's why it is still here. It's just plain sweet. In some ways, the Super10 is my longed-for modern TDM.Tremor38 said:I kind of got that that impression roughly ten years ago on the way to the WSB race in SUGO. I was on a YZF1000R, my friend was on a ZX7. We and of Japanese riders were horsing around on the way. One of the Japanese guys had a TDM, and although we new he couldn't beat us in an all-out top speed contest, we were both duly impressed with the speeds he was reaching. The bike seemed pretty quick as well.
The speed restriction's got to go..as long as my ECU makes it back to me before Spring, I'll be happy ::002:: . I think the TDM could outrun the ST in present state and would give it a serious run for the money regardless..although that's not exactly what the S10 is all about.
I agree regarding an off road machine with the TDM motor. I think that would stomp an F800 if the design was executed properly.
So what is that CanAm like to ride? Easy transition from a motorcycle even though it does not lean or more like the sidecar?Riversong said:I have a 2010 can am spyder rt which I and my wife really enjoy. Just sold last week my ural gear-up which I really didn't want to sell. Just did not need three bikes. the Ural is a lot of fun on dirt roads, but he Tenere is too!

Cuba, isn't that where the big rocking chair is on old Rt.66? I've wanted to get up that way, there is a town or reminents of a town that shares my last name by Cuba. My wife also has the Can Am and she really likes it.Riversong said:.
The can am is one fun bike. My wife and I have taken a couple trips, one to gatlinburg tn and another to Cuba mo.

1974 Kawasaki H2 triple
1977 KZ650 (2)
1978 KZ650 (2)
1979 KZ1000MKII
1980 KZ1000ST
2008 Goldwing
Between late 1978 to 1990 The KZ1000MKII and one of the KZ650s accounted for 240,000 miles. I thought that was a lot of riding, but nothing compared to others out there.
That looks just wonderful!!!! WOW that bike is in great condition! I would love to buy it from you if yóu ever decided to sell it. ::015::RonH said:Here's the H2 if I know how to post pictures on an Ipad. I got it 7/79 with 9000 miles on it for $1000, got 11000 now. 2000 whole miles 33yrs.
That may have played a little in the decision. ;Dcoastie said:Nice Twitch! Its also in the FASTEST color!
