Nice Bonnie, I used to have the America which was a blast to ride. Then moved on to the Rocket which was also a fun bike and now I'm down to the Speed Four as far as Triumphs go.

I kind of got that that impression roughly ten years ago on the way to the WSB race in SUGO. I was on a YZF1000R, my friend was on a ZX7. We and of Japanese riders were horsing around on the way. One of the Japanese guys had a TDM, and although we new he couldn't beat us in an all-out top speed contest, we were both duly impressed with the speeds he was reaching. The bike seemed pretty quick as well.

The speed restriction's got to go..as long as my ECU makes it back to me before Spring, I'll be happy ::002:: . I think the TDM could outrun the ST in present state and would give it a serious run for the money regardless..although that's not exactly what the S10 is all about.

I agree regarding an off road machine with the TDM motor. I think that would stomp an F800 if the design was executed properly.
I have a 1992 TDM. It's not going to win any roll on speed contests against any other bike I have owned except maybe the NT. But it is the fastest bike I have ever owned, on a tight twisty road with me piloting it. I'm not a super rider and I save my risktaking for the track, staying well within my comfort zone on the street. The TDM is so confidence inspiring that my comfort zone extends a lot farther, which makes it a joy to ride. That's why it is still here. It's just plain sweet. In some ways, the Super10 is my longed-for modern TDM.

The bonnie is a blast to ride, perfect compliment to any adventure bike. I bought it up in Maine in October and rode it home to Florida. Not the most comfortable highway bike but it was still a great ride.

So what is that CanAm like to ride? Easy transition from a motorcycle even though it does not lean or more like the sidecar?

Sold my FJR today. :(

After getting the Tenere it has just been sitting in the garage.

So I guess I'm commited to the S10. No problem there. :)

Cuba, isn't that where the big rocking chair is on old Rt.66? I've wanted to get up that way, there is a town or reminents of a town that shares my last name by Cuba. My wife also has the Can Am and she really likes it.

My other bikes are mostly old Kawasakis I've had 30 or more years.
1974 Kawasaki H2 triple
1977 KZ650 (2)
1978 KZ650 (2)
1979 KZ1000MKII
1980 KZ1000ST
2008 Goldwing
Between late 1978 to 1990 The KZ1000MKII and one of the KZ650s accounted for 240,000 miles. I thought that was a lot of riding, but nothing compared to others out there.
Do you have some pictures of that H2 triple...? ::014:: ::014:: ::014:: That is one hellova bike! If I would have time I would buy one immediately to ride some classic bikers races. I really envy you for having one. Would you care to post some pic's please? I'm drewling.... ::015::

Two stroke is so cool. Would love to own a triple two stroke or V4 two stroke classic racer.... :'(

Traded in the VFR for the Tenere! I would have liked to keep it, but only room for one in the Garage.

I picked up a 2006 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer this week from Xtreme Powersports in Tampa. It’s primarily for my 17 year old son, who’s been following me about on my KL250 since he got his msf cert and endorsement last summer, but I’ll be using it too. My son has been a dirt bike/atv kid since around fourteen or so and is a real good motorcycle rider…a natural. It’s weird, but that’s not the case when he gets behind the wheel of a car, but we’re working on it.

We previously landed on the FZ6 out of a fairly poor selection of mid-sized (non-cruiser) models available on the market. Although technically a sport bike, with a few minor mods it’s really set up for touring…higher bar (needs just a little more rise) and upright riding position. There were actually quite a few around here to choose from. Between craigslist and dealers, there was probably ten or so. We looked at three and bought this one. It’s a one owner motorcycle with 15K miles. It came with a super nice gel-Gripper seat, Givi side and top mounting brackets and a set of spacious V35 side cases. I already have an E26N top box with a brake light that I’ll pop on this weekend.

Both Givi and SW Motech make some nice engine guards for this bike, so we'll toss the sliders and get one of those. Otherwise, I don't plan on doing too much to it.

The kid is all excited to go on some rides with the FZ. So far on the calendar, we’ve got a three day event coming up in February and then in March we’ll be over to bike week for a few days, but we’re mainly interested in watching the Supercross.
