January 2015 in Namibia.

Packed for the trip...

Typical campsite...

Had a tent as well, never used it.

Finally loaded the Tenere up, but had to skip the camping trip because I got stuck offshore for work.

Was really glad to be on my way home, although I missed the camping trip in Death Valley.

Now I'm in Kenai, AK on another rig hoping to be home in time for the Taste of Dakar ride in a week and a half.

Your a big guy on that Tenere for ratcheting it up that trail.
I am trying to loos some weight off myself so I can do the same with gear.
The stock shock I am amazed how much it can take, best OEM I have had on a bike for my size.

I am not running a stock shock, I have an Elka unit, and it is much better than the oem for adjustibility, control, and smoothness.

Good to see another tenere take on lippincott. That's a good one to check off "the list". It's certainly nowhere near easy

In march the trail was in better than usual condition. Two 30 foot sections of softball sized river rock on about 35% grades, off camber two track with a 30 degree tilt to a nice cliff. After that, the golf ball sized rocks in switch backs are a relief.

Light weight camping gear and packing very little was smart.
