Sacramento to Alaska and back via Glacier National Park. 20 days total, mostly camping. I had all my camp gear; tent, cot, sleeping bag, pillow, tent light and insualted pad in the right pannier. My clothes and heated pants and jaclket liner in the left pannier. On the top of the right pannier is a smal bag (bicycle rear rack bag) that had my disk lock and bike cover. Same type on the left side had a 12'x12' kelty tarp, compressor, tire gauge and puncture repair kit. Right side small lid box was my first aid kit. The small top box, a carribo type waterproof case 12"x18" x6" held all my cook gear: stove, fry pan, rack, pots, utensils and food. I had a 1 gal RotoPax between the bike and the right pannier, and just for good measure I had a 1 gal gas can on a rack I made on the back. I only filled that one up before the Deadhorse run as a back up to the roto pax just in case. It was all tidy and low which was really important to me. Yamaha went to a lot of trouble to keep the cg low and I did not want to screw that up. All-in-all I think I got about 90% of the gear choices right and had only one hting I would not take again, my pull over fleece.

Toompine very good packing job. Well thought out, are you ex military by chance?
I"m interested in the bicycle bags you have on your lids. What brand are they? are they waterproof?
Thanks Mark

This is slightly off topic because it is not loaded on the bike. But hey cut me some slack. It was 7 degrees and snow on the ground. Going through major bike withdrawal so I decided to pull out all my camping gear for my Alaska trip this summer. Here it all is. It weighed in @ 29.2lbs which I think is pretty good. In addition to this I will have clothes, some food, and riding gear.
The beauty of this is that all the gear fits in my Jesse bags and all my clothes fits in the twisted throttle bag, and that is the only thing that will be strapped on the bike. Pretty clean set up for 28 days!
