I found the ACF50 at my local WestMarine supply. $18.99 for the can. They had Boeshield too, but I went with the ACF50.
Where's the best place to get it? I found it online for $12 a can, but then shipping is $11 - I hate that!ptfjjj said:Don't forget to spray the spokes and such with the ACF50 that you bought a while back to prevent the rapid corrosion that these spokes tend to exibit.
Thanks ! Get so excited you for get this stuff...ptfjjj said:Don't forget to spray the spokes and such with the ACF50 that you bought a while back to prevent the rapid corrosion that these spokes tend to exibit.
I bought mine awhile ago, it was 11.99 at every place I looked. I did find a place that shipped 3 cans for the same money.dcstrom said:Where's the best place to get it? I found it online for $12 a can, but then shipping is $11 - I hate that!
Us Texas folks will not need to warm the cans. In fact I had to find a cool place to store it as to keep it from exploding. )japako said:I bought mine awhile ago, it was 11.99 at every place I looked. I did find a place that shipped 3 cans for the same money.
Also, I read that it is best to warm the can before using, as the propellant is not that great..

Here is where is was first brought up back in February. Elizza posted on a different thread that she sprayed the front of her engine to make it easier to clean off road debris. She said that it worked very well.Kidder said:Is there a thread discussing this stuff? I live in North Texas. Do I need the stuff? There's no salt in the air or on the roads. Or is this to prevent corrosion due to water?
Old topic now guys, but relevant again now we have the bikes!fredz43 said:One of the UK? guys on advrider did replace his with stainless after his originals corroded. I think Yamaha replaced the set under warranty and he then had a stainless set made. I recall that he said you could replace them without taking the tire off of even taking the wheel off the bike.
