Damn Sallydog! That really sucks. I'm glad you are mostly OK. What's the story? Was Little Dog with you at the time? It was good meeting you at RDV, really sorry to see this.

Sorry about your get off. At least the rash is not too deep and the bike will survive. ::008:: My doc used Bacitracin on my road rash and it really helped. Just remember, Chicks dig scars.... ::025::

A new upper, (main frame), for the 3-piece kit is $xxx shipped. The shipping drives the price up, as it costs essentially the same to ship the full kit as it does to ship the main frame, (same size box, dimensional weight charges).

I was going to place another order with Rumbux before I head out for a month of riding, but as it stands now, I have zero pre-orders and I pretty much need 5 items to make the air freight charges work out on an order. It takes a couple of days to manage the funds and get the wire transfer done, which means the 20th is about as late as I can make an order happen before I take off on the morning of the 25th. The IBR is going to create a big set of bills to pay off and won't allow me to order on speculation for a while, only as people place orders with me and we build to 5 or more. Typically everyone is our riding and orders are dead this time of year.

Late to the game posting about my Rumbux set up. Eric was great to work with, provided great updates pending delivery and delivered a great product. Very Happy!

I'm Back!

Just bumping the thread to let people know that I am back from my vacation, (riding the IBR and wandering home on the back roads with the wife).

I am building an order that I hope to place with Rumbux in Sourth Africa in the next two weeks. If you're interested or have questions, now is an excellent time to contact me.

Pricing remains the same at this time:

Full 3-Part Kit - Fulling integrated system of Upper Crash Bars, Lower Bash Frame & Skid Plate - $xxx delivered to your door.

2-Part Kit - Lower Bash Frame & Skid Plate - $xxx delivered to your door.
(This uses the same parts from the 3-Part kit and the Upper Crash bars can be added later)

OEM Add On Upper Crash Bars - $xxx delivered to your door.
(This replaces the upper hoop on the Yamaha® OEM crash bars, adding greater radiator and body protection.)

Soft Pannier Brackets - $xxx delivered.

Light Brackets - $xx (Free shipping with any other product, otherwise $6 shipping in the lower 48.

4.5 mm Skid Plate - $xx shipped.
(This is standard now, but older units had 3mm thick Skid Plates)

All prices included delivery to the Lower 48 US States, residential or business. AK can be done for the 2-Part via USPS. Canada is an extra $xx, but I am willing to ship to a UPS store location in the US, which will hold the product for a small fee.

I am also able to get Rumbux crash bars for the BMW F650/700/800 series bikes and the KTM 1190 Adventure. Pricing should be comparable, but I have not seen Rumbux pricing on those as yet.

This order should reach customers at the beginning of October.

PM and emails are great too. Phone is 435-817-0809 9am to 9 pm CDT appreciated.

any body shop has a monster dent puller with 1" hook that will pull this back into shape in 10 minutes. if you believe you ride hard i recomend this setup

Sallydog,

First, your Tenere is NOT a Starbucks Tenere! I love it! Good job. :)

Second, your bone count went from 18 to 21 in a single event? Are you ok?

Man I love your bike. It's a thing of beauty.

2 ribs. OK.

You best stay away from the "it hurts when I laugh" threads.
Fortunately, it hasn't been the forums funniest week. :)
(Depending on your sense of humor. Mine's a bit warped)

Get well. And FIX your bike!

Glad it wasn't worse! You're supposed to remember that that stuff hurts and not do it again!

Glad the gear did the job and I'm sure it won't keep you down for long. ::008::

Are these still available?
Yes. No stock on hand, but I am working on putting a new order together. I do need at least 5 orders to place an order with Rumbux in SA to make the shipping cost out. Right now, there are some interested people, but no one has committed to purchase. PM or email me if you would like more info.

FWIW, Rumbux in South Africa recently did a cost analysis and has raised prices across the board, to a significant degree. I'm going to eat that increase for the Super Ten products, at least for a couple of orders, but the new products for the BMW F800 and KTM 1190 Adventure will cost more, (and are both significantly more expensive at dealer level too than the S10 stuff).

Eric,

How many interested do you have? When do you think the next order will arrive to customers at this point?

I just put my Givi bars to the "test" and they are pretty much destroyed. Also found out I apparently DO need a skid plate.
