Camping is all I do... can't stand hotels now... they don't let you build fires... well, they don't like it when you do anyway.
:D

It's all about the fire, isn't it? Nature's TV.

Been moto-camping for about 40 years now - my, how time flies. I think the Tenere will be a nice platform to load camping stuff. I also do big trips, such as the USA4Corners thing a couple of years back, 12,700 miles. On that trip I drug a popup camper behind my GL1800 and did a lot of camping, but on a trip of that magnitude I also did some motel 'camping'.

Just might consider a small trailer for the S10, providing someone comes up with a decent hitch for this bike.

I gravitate to the moto-camping sites and threads. Been doing it seriously for a few years but still lots to learn and share about the subject. Our poor 5th-wheel trailer aint gettin' no love lately since the Super Tenere turned into our vacation platform. It's been almost a week since our last moto-camping trip. I'm not addicted or anything, just sayin'. If I can't do it, at least want to talk about it.

Just finished a 199 day trip with a lot of camping and pulling a trailer. Have had a hitch of Super T for two years.

I want to like camping, I really do. I usually end up bike camping once or twice a year. But the military made me view "camping" as a chore that I dreaded. I've tried to get past that attitude, but with very limited success. I want to like camping, I really do.

Just curious, where did you get the hitch or did you DIY?

Now to me 'camping' is staying in a three star hotel... I get the whole camping idea but I don't like the idea of lugging a load of camping gear around with me. Also being from the UK the weather is not always your friend and a warm Hotel room with unlimited hot water beats a tent with unwanted cold water any day. Just my humble opinion mind.

Yep, I really like bike camping. I just did 4 nights at the Arkansas rally. Not really a real camping experience but it was still fun to camp to such great weather.

I'm really interested in doing some hammock camping. Hammocks are almost the ultimate in camping.

No... Too many aches and pains to camp any more.
I know what your talking about Arthritis setting in these days, but I refuse to stop doing the one thing I love doing on my bike.
I pop a few Ibuprofen an hour before I crash out. ::008::

::026:: For some it's about the ride, for me its about the adventure. It changes the adventure if I'm out exploring some remote region on my bike and then have to ride out to civilization for a nights sleep.
