I have camped in the back woods a few times but always worry about jokers who raid my camp and steal or trash stuff, it has happened to a friend of mine. ::010::
Best to find a decent state park for base camp then explore.

"From where the sun now stands, I will sleep no more on the ground, forever." I think
Chief Joseph said that.

It's simply the best! I ride to get away. See stuff. Drink & be merry at night with only the coons and owls to bother. Out here in Orygun, we've got lots of opportunity to pull off the beaten path and set-up camp for free (or cheap). To me, moto-camping is the essence of adventure. There nothing like loading up your bike the night before a big trip, checking your list and heading off to bed knowing that in the morning you'll be off on an adventure to new places and spaces.

It's great to ride all day and let the trip unfold, naturally, landing where you may for the night. All of my best memories of riding involve camping. Even if I could more readily afford it, I'd still be inclined to camp. Riding to me is about open spaces, and nothing tops off the day like a great night spent outdoors with a good friends. In the morning, the fresh air and rising sun wash away the fog of the night and I'm ready for more.

I dig it.

No better spot on the entire planet than my tent, when shared with my soul mate.
Treasured memories, every single sunset or sunrise we chased.

Camping only for me. I like to get totally away from the humanoids. Motels and their bedbugs, ludicrous pricing and most of all the very questionable hygienic standards. For instance, a couple of years ago I was watching one of those crime shows that give the story line of a murder. A couple of girls murdered in different hotels a few miles apart. The investigators tested the bed covering for semen DNA. Bear in mind that this is not a flea bag hotel but a well known and respected national brand. They found over twenty (20+) different DNA samples.

Enjoy your hotel slumming but don't get too close to me.

CSI truly has imbedded itself into the American psyche. We are interesting creatures.
(I love it, by the way)

I can sleep almost anywhere. I do need to be able to get warm.
If the bears dont get me, then I guess the microbes will.

I'm pretty much a professional traveler....I can sleep just about anywhere, as long as I can lay down.
